Review for HBTU Kanpur

I choose Electronics Engineering as it is an ever-green branch if you are talking in terms of placement. There are six major subjects in every Semester and a total of 8 semesters and there is one teacher of every batch which usually contains 70 to 80 students. All the faculties that are teaching us Ph.D. holders are from different colleges. There are two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam held every semester and all of these are held according to the schedule provided by the respective authority.

There are internships available for every student of every branch, in the 3rd year of the course. There are many companies that provide internships like Nestle, Jio, Samsung, etc and these companies provide a decent amount of stipend.

The placements in our college begin after the completion of the 6th semester. There are many major companies that visit our college every year like Jio, Octum, Pure software, Samsung, West-tern, and Byjus. The highest package offered by companies that visited our college in 2022-23 in the Electronics Branch was 17.25 lacks offered by Josh Technologies. The percentage of students placed in the Electronics Engineering Branch is 90%.

When you are admitted in your first year you will have to pay a total of 1,35,000 INR as college fees include everything like Exam fees, Tuition fees, etc. There are many scholarships available for the students of HBTU some of them are private and others are provided by the government of Utter Pradesh.

Adhaay, Arambh, and Technica are some of the major fests that are organized by the college every year on a huge scale last year our college managed to get Samay Raina and Darshan Rawal in one of the fests. Tagore Library consists of thousands of books and many different E-books of all genres. These books are available for every student, and the library is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. There are air-conditioned classrooms for almost every branch and have a smart screen installed. Almost all types of sports that are majorly played in India are available here. There are many Clubs and Social Groups like the Coding community, the Autorob, and the Callidus community.

There are 2 hostels for the first year students and have one floor of single rooms i.e. it is allotted to only one student and the rest is double seaters room. The quality of the food is decent for most of the days, and you could change the menu if you have the majority with you as students are the charge of the mess. The hostels are pretty affordable as the yearly fees of the hostel and mess combined together are 61,000 INR. Rented rooms are mainly available in Nawabganj near the college or there are many building societies that have flats where you could take flats on rent.

Any course in HBTU can be only taken if you qualify some of the basic pre-defined criteria like you must have at least 75% marks in your 12th standard exams or any of its equivalent exams, you must have a decent rank in the JEE Mains exam of the same year in which you are applying for it.
