Course Curriculum Overview
As I didn't get a seat in CSE, I've chosen the ECE branch in TKR. Most of the faculty are good at explaining their lectures. M.Tech qualified & Ph.D. lecturers from JNTU Hyderabad, IITs, and some other Top colleges in Telangana. There will be two mid-exams every semester. The difficulty of mid-exams is easy to medium if you have prepared well for the mid-exams.
Placement Experience
From the 5th semester, students will be eligible for campus placements. Most of the companies visited are IT companies such as Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. and almost no core companies visit the campus. The highest package was the 9LPA offered by Syncron for CSE. The average package was 3LPA. If one doesn't get the on-campus job they can prepare for GATE to do a master's at IITs (or) they can prepare for CAT to do an MBA in IIMs (or) they can prepare for IELTS/TOEFL/GRE to do a masters at foreign universities (or) they can prepare for ESE, SSC for PSU jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
When I got a seat in TKR, I had to pay a 70000 Tuition Fee in total but I had to pay only 35000 and the rest 35000 is reimbursed which means I should apply for that 35000 fee reimbursement or scholarship every year on the Epass website. To be eligible for fee reimbursement you should have an income certificate with an annual family income of less than 200000. You can get decent on-campus jobs.
Campus Life
Every year in the month of May 3 events are conducted subsequently which are Traditional Day, Shiznay (Among popular singers in India who will come and blaze up the event), and lastly Annual Day. TKR has a good library. Sports & extracurricular activities such as Cricket, Kabaddi, chess, Essay writing competitions, Drawing Competitions, etc. are conducted. There are also NCC and NSS in TKR. Clubs such as GDSC TKRCET, and Cultural Club are also in TKR.
Admission
First, we should apply for EAMCET which is an Entrance Exam in which you have to get qualified to get into Engineering colleges in Telangana. Application Fees for EAMCET depend on candidates belonging to OC, BC, SC, and ST. There are Previous Year Cutoffs for every branch of every Engineering college in Telangana which you can see on the EAMCET website while applying for colleges after getting qualified in EAMCET. There'll be 3 allotment rounds for applying to colleges. I got alloted a seat in the ECE branch in TKR College through EWS with a 60k rank in EAMCET.
