Course Curriculum Overview
ECE branch has always intrigued me because I was always interested in the knowledge of how these counting machines were built and the step-by-step process of it. Faculty: student ratio is 1:50 means 1 faculty per 50 students. All the faculties are well qualified and they have done their PhD from IITs. Also, the Teaching method is up to the mark. The term exams are held timely. Terms exams are from a moderate-difficult level, but with appropriate study, one can pass it.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are there but the companies visit only for 6 months of internships which are offered to 4th Year students. The average stipend is around 30k - 35k. The companies that visit for Internships are Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Philips, Intel, etc. However, the internship opportunities for 3rd-year students are very much fewer and can be considered negligible when compared to other colleges such as NSUT, and DTU.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placements in their 6th Semester when they do a 2-month internship. Companies visited include Samsung, Meesho, Flipkart, Philips(for M.Tech), Intel and Nvidia(for M.Tech), Make my Trip., Zscaler, found it, Cvent, and many more which offer an average package of 10-15 lacs per annum. The highest package was offered by Atlssian which was 82 lacs. The average package for overall college is around 14-15 lacs. Placement percentage is around 90-95 %.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for this institute are high as compared to other NITs. For a person with an annual income of more than 5 lacs, the annual fee is approx. 2 lacs(including Tuition fees and Hostel fees) which is quite high. Although there are some relaxations for students whose annual income is below 5 lacs. 1-5 lacs = 65k-70k. below 1 lacs = approx. 36k. As I am from the income category of above 5 lacs I cannot avail of any scholarships.
Campus Life
The annual fest is named Sentience which was conducted only in my first year and from then till now it has not been conducted. Very few fests are conducted. A sports meet is conducted by the name of Zeal which is very good. The libraries are nice and the availability of books is also good. There are many books from well-known publishers.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels on the campus are good. The facilities that are provided in the room are Tables, Chairs, and Almirahs for each student in the room. It doesn't matter whether you are 1st year or a final-year student. Also, first-year students do not get hostels on the main campus, they are provided hostels on the temporary campus i.e. 7km away from the main campus. You get the hostels at the time of admission only.
Admission
A person has to take the JEE Mains examination and he/she has to score at least 60% marks in the class 12th board Examination. The percentile score in the JEE Mains Exam should be above 96 percentile for admission to NIT Delhi. The application form can be found on Jee mains official website. All the other necessary details like application fees and dates can also be found on the official website. I have availed reservation for the OBC category.
Interview Experience
No there was no interview kind of thing. You have to verify all your documents at the time of Physical Reporting at the Institute. That's all you would have to take. No special preparations are required for these rounds. Just keep all your original documents with you. That is Sufficient.
Other Applied Colleges
Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Fees requirement for this college was high as I didn't have any income criteria reservation
