Amrita University review.

I've chosen mechanical engineering cause this is the subject of my interest. I'm not certain about the faculty and student ratio. The faculty is well qualified with almost everybody availing PhD in their respective courses. The teaching methods are proper too, they only speak in English since students hail from different parts of the country and they use PPTs to help students understand the concept much better. The semester usually is halved with two term exams namely midterm and end semester but sometimes it is also made into three halves having three term exams.

Students are eligible to attend placements right from their 6th semester. Companies like caterpillar, tata, Mahindra, Amazon, wipro vagaira visit the college for placements. The highest package is 56lpa. Around more than 85 percentage students get placed every year. I plan to go for a masters after my undergraduate.

The fee structure has 4 slabs where students will have very good scores Slabs 1 people move to the next slabs accordingly depending on their ranks in the entrance test. This is how the scholarship is given to students. Every student is expected to score more than a certain CGPA according to their fee slab structure. If the student fails to score according to that their fee slab drops and once dropped it cannot go back again. The fees in our college are pretty low compared to other big private universities in the country. Every transaction in the college happens with only cash. No online transactions are permitted.

Every year there is an annual fest which is known as the Gokulastami celebration of Lord Sri Krishna's birthday. Every department in the college competes to win the fest and a tech fest happens in the month of either March or April which is called Anokha tech fest. The library in the college is very huge where the students can almost access any book related to studies. Sports like athletics, tennis, badminton, cricket, swimming, powerlifting etc are available in the college and there are a lot of clubs in the college for dance, art, music vagaira.

Each room has 4 beds, the hostels are old but adjustable. The washrooms are cleaned everyday. The meals provided in the campus is adjustable too. Hostel and mess Registeration is done along with the total fee payment.

The admission process was based on an entrance test. Eligible candidates for certain courses will be summoned for an online admission process where the fee structure and details will be explained. The exam application form and details can be accessed by anybody on the college's official website. The admission process was so clean.
