National Institute of Technology, Delhi review

I was always interested in computer technology and wanted to explore how things actually work thats why I chose Computer Science and Engineering. The faculty-to-student ratio in our college is around 1: 20. All the faculties are well qualified and have done their PhDs from either foreign universities or prestigious Indian universities like IITs and NITs. The course curriculum gets updated after every 2-3 years to make it up to date. The semester lasts for around 4 months and mid-term is scheduled at the start of 3rd month and the term exam at the end of the semester.

Companies like Trilogy, Flipkart, Sprinkler, MakeMyTrip, and Meesho came for internships this year and many more still to come. Their average stipend was around 80000 to 120000. We also have to do two projects minor and major.

The 5th semester students become available for the 2-month internships and the 7th become eligible for the 6-month internship and full-time roles. Almost everyone got placed the previous year and they almost had 2-3 offers in their hand. I also plan for the campus placement and to work in a corporate environment after my degree.

The fee structure is divided into 3 categories on the basis of caste and income group. There are three slabs - annual income less than 1 lac, between 1 - 5 lac, and more than 5 lac. More than 5 lac income group tuition fees are 100%, between 1-5 lac tuition fees is 1/3rd, and less than 1 lac 0 tuition fees. There are numerous scholarship schemes whose details can be found on the National Scholarship Portal.

The annual techno-cultural fest Anveshna is held around the months of November and December. We have a central library which has all the books available for the students. There is also a facility of a book bank for the students which lend books to students for the entire semester. Classrooms are equipped with smart screens with stylus and the campus is fully centrally cooled. We have fully furnished sports facilities for cricket, football, lawn tennis, kabaddi, volleyball, athletics, basketball, badminton, and indoor games like table tennis, chess, carrom, etc. The various clubs are the cultural club, technical club, GDSC, NSS, etc.

Hello everyone, the eligibility criteria for this college is through JOSAA counselling which considers JEE Mains rank for admission purposes. After the declaration of the JEE Mains result the JOSAA portal becomes active and we have to fill out the form which is very easy and the user interface is also very user-friendly. After filling out the form we fill in our choices in preference order. 6 rounds of counselling are held. I got my seat allotted in Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Delhi at the end of the 6th round. I was delighted after the counselling result came out.
