- Coding culture of this college is top notch, the seniors of college of different clubs guide us through the year, they do provide respective resources and do track out performances
- Labs and lab equipments are good too, in CS labs the system have Ubuntu installed which I didn't expected, we've been taught various Linux terminals commands from very first day of college itslef
- seniors junior interaction is quite good too, we've , allotted c-cell mentors from very first month, we can get help from them at any time se want
Dislikes
- Tougher acads, acads here are the most challenging part, we need to study everyday to get decent grade
- Strict attendance policy, institute has strict 75% attendance which do restrict us exploring various other fileds
- Some Profs are strict too, you need to be very attentive in class, though it's quite obvious to stay attentive but still.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is relatively tough, you need to study at least 1 hour each day to get an average cgpa (6/7). I choose BTech ECE here as I'm interested in hardware/electrical components of circuit. Also, IT companies do allow ECE students to sit in placement rounds. The faculty of the college is good, you can approach any professor outside the working hours. The faculty-student ratio is about 30:1. Most of the profs are graduates from top IITs/NITs, IISC Banglore, and reputed foreign universities. About exams, we have about 2 quizzes per course per semester and 1 mid-term exam, and 1 end-term exam.
Placement Experience
From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for sitting in internships. Companies visited- media.net, Adobe, adverb, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, etc. Highest offered- 54 lpa, Average- 14.5 lpa. Percentage of students placed -94%. My plan is to sit for placement and work as an SDE in a top MNC.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees: 5.5lakh per year, the hike is about 10%. Total fees: BTech is above 24 lakhs. Scholarships are as follows: Merit Scholarships: For select top rankers/meritorious students based on academic criteria. BPL Scholarships: A few BPL Scholarships are available for the neediest students. Vijay Bhatnagar Scholarship: For a meritorious and economically challenged girl student based on some criteria. The scholarship amount is INR 50000 (INR 25000 per semester) One scholarship of Rs. 50,000 per semester is to be given to an academically bright student purely on the basis of merit.
Campus Life
College life is pretty decent. We have had tons of club events, and festivals over a year. The annual cultural fest is called Vivacity conducted in the month of January. Tech fest is called- plinth, conducted on November end, and many more. Library is open 9 am-10 pm, and open till 12 am during exams. All books/magazines/newspapers are available to read. Sports- the college has a basketball court, football ground, cricket ground, volleyball court, table tennis, tennis lawn, chess, carrom, etc. Clubs are- cybros (IT club), Sankalp, and many more.
Hostel Facilities
For 1st year college provides 3 seater room, Each person gets a LAN port, mirror, bed, Almera, study table, and chair as well as a common duct (AC vent.) From 2 years onwards we get twin sharing rooms. Mess is quite decent, we get 4 meals a day. Hostel is compulsory, so there's no additional step to apply for it. You'll register for this when you come here for document verification.
Admission
College admission is pretty smooth, you just need to fill out the application form and submit basic details including name, parents' name, etc. Eligibility - 12th Passed, Must have a jee main percentile >91%ile. Application form is avail on the college website, fee is 2000. No reservation is applicable.
