Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I like this profession and it is easy to get a stable job. The student: faculty ratio is 15:1. The faculty qualifications is M.Sc nursing and the teaching methods are good . But there is a lack of student teacher relationship. Faculties has to listen to the students problems and have to support them. There is three sessional exams and one model exam and also model practical exams. Exams are in 2-3 month interval and I think it's a bit difficult to pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per year is 91500 except hostel. The food and accommodation fee is 81600 per year. I got MCM scholarship for the first two year but now it's not giving. There is clinical training in the hospital but no stipend or other financial assistance. Overall it's hard to afford the fees.
Campus Life
The college fest is conducted in November. The SNA arts and sports fest are conducted in between. There are many journals and study related text books present in the library. Butthere is no other books than study textbooks. There is students nurses association and college union for students. But the college union is not active. Good support for arts and sports.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is available and the hostel fee is 6800 per month. The hostel room has bed and table for each student and attached bathroom in the room. The menu is satisfactory. Neither bad nor good. The fee is a bit too much to afford. I would like to rent a room near mangalapuram
Admission
The eligibility of the course is +2 biology science. I got admission through LBS. They allot the college's through percentage of plus two mark. Reservations were present at the time of admission. I got muslim reservation. I have to suggest that if you are giving admission under LBS, it's a government seat and you have to charge the same fees as govt college.
