Likes

The admin block of IIITDWD looks fabulous .
The weather in the campus is quite pleasant during the evenings
The connectivity of the campus from the railways and airport and also the cities of Dharwad and Hubbali

Dislikes

The food provided is not satisfactory and non veg is not provided by the mess .
Hostel facilites lack on various areas even through they are charging quite the amount of money
Sports and Gym facilites cannot cater to all the students on the campus adequately

Course Curriculum Overview

Because I like working with computers and it has various job opportunities. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:10 . Most of them hold a Ph.D. from various top colleges such as IITs and NITs. The teaching methods are decent. The term exams are held according to the schedule and it is moderately easy to pass.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Amazon, TCL, and various other multinational companies have visited and various offers were made for campus placements. 35 LPA - Highest Package offered up until today and the average package is about 9LPA. About 90% of students are getting placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is quite high compared to other institutes and the chances for scholarships for general category students is pretty low. The fee hikes every two semesters . I didn't avail any financial assistance or scholarship throught the campus.

Campus Life

We have only one fest in an entire year which is called the IIIT Dharwad HABBA. The library contains various course-related books which can be helpful. There is one big ground for cricket/ football (Only one sport can be played at a time), a basketball court and two badminton courts . 2 table tennis tables and 2 carrom boards. The sports facilities need to be improved to cater to the students on the campus. There are various clubs both technical and cultural in the college which hold various events.

Admission

Pass intermediate and qualify JEE Mains entrance examination. You can find the application procedure on JOSAA counseling website. I have not availed of any reservation benefits. The process needs to be more informative and flexible.

the curriculum is practical up to date and the assignments are project based that encourages better understanding. the assignments are also real world based that require ,the students, to undestand the subjects better. there are 3 internal test with lab tests include that test the student's knowledge in the subject

the eligibily might be from 3rd year. There are several companies such as capegemini hitachi patym dmart. 700 offers are offered. Highest is 25 lakh and average is around like 5 lakh. After the completion of my degree i would like to persue higher studies like MS.

Placement stats are pretty good, offers above 50LPA have also been granted to students, but they are not as common. With a good cgpa, 5+ LPA can be ensured. Students from 6th sem become eligible for placements, companies such as TI, Apple, Daimler Trucks etc have come for placements
