Remarks

Right college for B.Sc agriculture and B.Tech as well. No one can ever have any bad comments about the college. it is hard to get such a highly dedicated private college. the chairman sir itself are highly motivated and just focus on the progress of students and ultimately of the college. other private college just know how to take the fees from the students and no focus is then given on student's studies and placement. But Roorkee college of Engineering is far different from all of them. Is is a right career path for the students. i am lucky to be a part of Roorkee College of Engineering.

Entrance Preview

I gave UK SEE exam and in the Uttarakhand Technical University counselling I was made to select amonngst few colleges, whichever is feasible for me. among them the best choice was Roorkee College of Engineering. I have heard from many people about the quality education of college. therefore i selected it as my college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course structure is excellent. we have theory as well as practicals for each and every theory subject. we also have project oriented practice in which we generate new research ideas and complete them in college itself. it helps in applying for the patents if any novel research is been carried out in the college as well as can help to publish research papers generation.

Internships Opportunities

Roorkee college of Engineering do provides the internship facility. internship is an inseparable part of B.Sc and B.Tech course work. we need to apply for the internship in various companies and government institutions like G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, pantnagar, Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. The college provides the students with the recommendation letter of the college. they get a good stipend in the training time. that time student get a feel of sense that they are able to do jobs. this develops great confidence among the students. also students get a exposure to industry and other institutions.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is very good. our training and placement cell is working really very hard to provide placements to all the students. many great companies like accenture, wipro, infosys etc come for the college campus placement. students get very enthusiastic at the placement time. They offered 3.0 lacks per annum to 5.0 lakhs per annum.

College Events

5

There are many events that are celebrated in the college like Freeonz, Utkarsh, Tech Sangram. the best one being UTKARSH. it is celebrated on the occasion of birthday of our honourable chairman sir, it is a 2 day grand function, in which cultural program is organised the very first day along with the scholarship distribution to the meritorious students who get more than 75% in their academics. also the gold medal is given to the students who topped the batch in a particular academic year. also there are many other events like Freeonz, Tech fest that is organised by the students themselves. students bring sponsors from CCD, Pizza Hut, Dominos, etc. this way they become self dependent as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

the fee structure is highly feasible. in this present era, education has been so costly that some talented students whose parents cannot afford 2 to 3 lakh rs per annum just leave their dreams and indulge in some other low jobs. But the fee structure in Roorkee College of Engineering has been kept in such a manner that both rich and poor can afford the fees and without any economic disparity gain the similar knowledge. this is a very good initiative of Roorkee College of Engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

Educational Loan facility is available for the students enrolled in Roorkee College of Engineering. the students who are not able to afford the fees at the same time. They can submit a particular amount which is feasible for them at a time and the rest fees can be submitted afterwards, this initiation of Roorkee College of Engineering has been highly profitable to many parents.

Campus Life

5

campus life is awesome. the gender ratio is somewhat imbalanced. there are few girls as compared to the number of boys but still, there is safety for both boys and girls inside the campus. less number of girls could be due to the fact that some parents are not open-minded enough to send their daughters for such a professional course.so it is not the college's problem that the gender ratio is not okay, but of the parents who are not sending their daughters for studies. I being a girl can say that the college is very good, with complete safety and healthy working environment. Rest, there are many extracurricular activities that are practiced in college without affecting the studies.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facility and mess are very good. Hostels are well furnished with wooden bed, an almirah, big enough to accommodate the things of the students. Hostel floors are tiled properly. we have both 3 seater and two seater rooms. we enjoy as well as study properly during study time. after 9:00 pm our warden use to take the round of the hostel rooms and check whether the students are studying or not and also for checking if any student is absent. At first, we hated this stuff. but after that, we came to know its importance. our studies improve due to this small initiative. the mess food is okay. sometimes the taste is not good. but after that, once we complain about it. it is improved. also, the hostel mess food of colleges is like that only. we cannot get home food in any area or in any college. Basically, these mess workers sometimes don't do their work well. otherwise, the quality of the food used is good and healthy. there is also the RO facility for safe drinking water for the students.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini network is good. the college keeps record of the alumini student and helps us whenever we need them. also we had so good senior junior interaction that after leaving the college also, our juniors contact us personally whenever they need any sort of help. also the college calls its alumini on every event.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is highly feasible. There are two mid-term examinations. in midterm 1, half of the syllabus comes and in midterm two, the complete syllabus comes. Being a B.Sc student, our external starts in July and practicals after that, but b.tech practicals start from after 8 to 10 days of mid-term. and just after the completion of the practicals, external examinations start. it is very good for the students as the students already prepared the whole syllabus because of the midterm, so it is very easy for the students to give their externals.

Admission

I got admission with the UTU counselling. The admission process was very simple. in the counselling i was made to chose some colleges on the merit basis. among those colleges i choose Roorkee College of Engineering due to its educational quality, great faculty, its location and its excellence and awards which it has gained in these few years. and yeah ofcourse the best placement.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of a college is the integral part of that college which molds the students in such a manner that when these students pass out from the college they only seek higher and higher in life and do not look back.. if the guidance is good, the students will never deviate their path from their aim. but if the guidance is poor, the student can dump into a trash. But I am lucky enough to have such a good faculty that we need not take much pain at home and got to learn everything in the class itself. our faculty has an excellent teaching method, highly cooperating and understands us well. they are more like our parents.

The college has consistent placement record , reflecting strong academic, industrial training exposure. The placement cell also provide guidance for further and better opportunities, I guess there is no college which give direct placement for agriculture, yes we get to collaborate with many good training institutes and as far as i have seen majority of students go for Maters for the same course. In courses like AME, BHM, BCA & IT the college has significantlly good score, pharmacy department also has good no. of placements in MAX, Apollo, Cipla, Zydus lie companies.
