Remarks

Well, it is always difficult to judge & be critical of your institute. Because, one has to be honest in his/her opinion, I would say IIBS is making its best to be a responsible B-School. It has a pool of good administrators, faculty and industry stalwarts, who are committed to nurture future management professionals. Certainly, it is an institute for future MBA aspirants.

Entrance Preview

I opted for Karnataka CET and scored above 90 percentile to get into IIBS. I chose IIBS because of its consistence ranking in the top most B-Schools in the country. Plus I had a reliable knowledge of its good faculty, and alumni network.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Coming from Finance background, I opted for Finance as a major. The entire course was well administered with many visiting faculties providing us with understanding of the industry. We had some of the best professors us financial subjects, covering financial management, markets, derivatives, and so on. We are also introduced to financial market dynamics in depth.

Internships Opportunities

I got to do an internship at Indiabulls for about a month. During my stint with them, I was fortunate to learn share market ups & downs in detail. I also learnt various other financial aspects. Along with the practical knowledge, there was a stipend of Rs. 10000 for my efforts.

Placement Experience

5

Job placements are a routine feature at IIBS. It has a permanent pool of companies visiting its campus every year for recruiting bright graduates. Reliance, Birla Sun life, Bajaj Allianz, Amazon, HDFC are amongst the notable companies to have visited IIBS. Packages offered to have been attractive ranging between 5 to 20 lakhs.

College Events

4

Extracurricular events were plenty at IIBS. We hosted and took part in many inter B-School competitions. We were also part of prize-winning team. At the end of our academic year, there was cultural fest called ‘SURFACE’, which gave us platform to display our intrinsic talent in cultural field.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees you pay for a two-year MBA at IIBS do not seem to be much considering the best education you get here. Also IIBS offers placement assistance and industrial exposure during your stint at IIBS. I spent around 8 lakhs, which I can easily earn-back during my 1st or 2nd year of profession.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not find educational loans being offered at IIBS. I personally had availed education loan from my bank. However, I feel it is better to provide loans to needy that cannot support on their own. But the institute has given several scholarships in its founder’s name.

Campus Life

4.5

My campus life at IIBS was a great experience that will remain in my memory for ever. We were encouraged to take part in various academic drills as well as sports & other cultural festivals in the campus. We also went to other B-Schools to showcase our talent in inter B-School competitions.

Hostel Facilities

5

I did not reside in IIBS hostel. I had made accommodation elsewhere. Therefore, I cannot comment on its quality or otherwise. But, many of my batch-mates who stayed in there had good things to say. In their opinion, it was lively & comfortable though it could still be improved.

Alumni/Alumna

IIBS has a well-knit Alumni Association. Most of its ex-graduates stay connected through this network. Every year the association is growing stronger with new registration. The members benefit from mutually interaction. And, there is the grand alumni meet every year.

Exam Structure

We had a well-planned exam structure at IIBS. Exams were conducted as per schedule. Throughout the academic session, the emphasis was on practical. The whole exam was divided into 4 semesters, each of which emphasized on a particular aspect of management.

Faculty

5

What is unique about IIBS faculty is that their enthusiasm to teach & train is second to none. Most of them have varied subject-matter & industrial experience. There are visiting faculty members who come for guest lecturing from time to time. Together, they form a formidable knowledge resource.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time.
