IIIT-Worst OR Best

ECE curriculum of IIIT H is very unique. It is better than the top IITs in India. The curriculum of both CSE and ECE directly focuses on industrial prospects and all genuinue lovers of IT field will definetly love this course. Like IITs this college doesnt have subjects like Metallurgy, Mining, Physics etc. I also preferred this college because of its thriving coding culture. Student to faculty ratio is about 1:170. Almost all the faculty are having PHD in thier course, some of them have also done B.Tech from top IITs. Teaching method is good apart from some professors. You cant expect spoon feeding from them. Sometimes they dont even cover the topics which they ask in exams and some of them just blow away the lecture slides. There are exams scheduled every month, 2 Quizzes and 2 Semester Exams. The toughness of the papers are very high.

There are many internship oppurunities in this college. You can earn upto 3.6LPA thorugh internships. Even if you done get an oppurnity to do internship, IIIT will provide you an environment where you can do many projects and expan your knowledgebase.

From 4th year you are eligible to seat for placements however you can opt for PPOs if companies select you. You can apply for internship from any year. COmpanies like Google, Meta, Apple , Qualcomm, Intel , Microsoft do visit this companies. COllege maintains 100% placement record. My plans containg begining a startup.

Fees per year is approx 4.5L(including everything) with 10% hike every year. Fees of IIIT H is very very high as compared to Government colleges. The reason is moslty because its completely private with no government aid like IITs. Its definetly not affordable by general middle class public. There are no scholarship oppurtunities in the college except for some financial aid given for lower middle class public. There is SBI bank situated inside the campus which offers college loans which can repaid after you get placement from college or you make make for some other student's fees. I am currently in UG1 so I dont have any idea about Jobs

IIIT curriculum is very strict so students dont find much time taking part in fest or other extra curricular activities. Felicity is know to be annual fest of this college which is conducted in the month of February. Books and Journals are very old versions , some of them even have thier pages torn. Classrooms are very pathetic with noproper lightining facilities in some of the classrooms. There are mandatory sports credits to be filled every semester, although the facilities are not much upto the mark. There are many clubs but apart from programming club, open source club(most of the clubs are dead)

There are no facilites provided in room except a bed, table, chair , fan and cupboard. Hostels are pathetic with very dirty washroom and water quality both for dring and bathing purposes. Room cleaning happens every 15 days which is very less frequent. Mess meals except from somedays are really pathetic, you cant digest them. Hostel Registrations happen alongside with college admission. They charge about 90000 per year for mess and hostel

Admission for this college can happen through Jee mains, and ugee Getting admission through Mains requires approximately under 4k rank. You can fill admission form at iiit.ac.in There are no reservations except the girls quota in this college. Application fee is around Rs.2000(It may very year to year) Admission process is very smooth. They conduct 5 rounds for Jee mode
