NIT Delhi - the most underrated college

I wanted CSE Branch but I was not able to get that in the JOSAA counseling, so I had to go with ECE Branch. Our department's faculty are very chill as compared to other branch's faculty. The student-to-faculty ratio is somewhat 1:30. Most of our faculties are extremely qualified and have more than 10 years of experience in the field. They have done their Doctoral from highly reputed institutes around the globe. We have to give 2-3 assignments, 1-2 quizzes, viva, and a mid-term exam and end-term exam.

SDE roles in companies like Flipkart, Trilogy, Meesho, MMT, Cvent, Celigo, etc. Many projects are available with the professors of the college. We have to do one minor project and one major project according to our course curriculum. We get our mentors assigned from the third year itself.

Our placements are growing at a very rapid rate. Students in the 5th semester become eligible for the 2-month internship role and the students in the 7th sem become eligible for the full-time offers. Companies include Atlassian, Meesho, Zomato, Flipkart, Sprinkler, Trilogy, Cvent, Celigo, MMT, Intel, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, etc. The highest package received this year is 82 lacs from Atlassian and the average package is 16 lacs. We have a 100% placements record.

The institute hikes its fees according to the instructions of the MHRD, New Delhi. But a batch's fees for 4 years does not change. The new batches have to follow the hiked fee structure. Various scholarships including the Post Metric Scholarship, Top Class Education, and Dayanand Scholarship are available for deserving students. One can fill out the forms at the Institute of scholarship office.

The name of our annual techno-cultural fest is Anveshana, it is a 2-day long fest that hosts various cultural and technical events. Anveshan is held in the month of April every year. Our teachers use multimedia as a means of their teaching. We have sports facilities for a football ground, cricket ground, badminton court, lawn tennis, volleyball court and an athletics ground with floodlights. Clubs of our institute are Clairvoyance, UpVision, Alfaaz, Cultural Club, Sports Club, Think India, NSS, UBA Cell, Arts Club, etc.

Rooms are equipped with almirah, table chairs, beds, fans, and ACs. Our hostel rooms are one the best among all the Engineering colleges. Mess food tastes very bad, and many times I have to miss the mess food due to its taste. We have to register for the hostel at the start of every semester, and the price is very affordable with non ac rooms at 18000 per sem, and 28000 per sem for an ac room.

Btech in ECE at National Institute of Technology Delhi's minimum eligibility is Class 12 with non-medical (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths). Admission is done on the basis of JEE Mains rank. We have to fill out the online application form at the JOSAA Portal(Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Then we are allowed a seat based on our preference order and JEE Mains rank.
