Course Curriculum Overview

Most of the faculties has very good academic qualification and has fairly good experience in teaching. Exams are quite challenging and require self-efforts to score good marks. Mid-semester mostly takes place as mentioned in the academic calendar.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Students are eligible for internship in the 5th semester itself. Companies visit the campus to offer internships. Overall, there are good internship opportunities in the college. The college has a huge database of companies.

Placement Experience

Placements are quite satisfactory in HBTU for branches like CSE IT ET EE. Companies visit the campus. In the technology branch, there is 100% placement for paint technology. The median package for CSE and IT is about 11 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a fee of 135000 for the first year and then for the next three years, it is 127500. Fees are quite high in comparison to other state universities. There is an internal scholarship for the students named as EWS Assistance Fund.

Campus Life

Social life at HBTU is quite good. There are 13 major sub-councils under USAC. here students play a major role in organising and handling the events. Classrooms are good with air conditioning and smart boards.

Admission

The university takes admission purely on the basis of the JEE Mains cutoff. There is a reservation system in admission as there is in any other IITs, NITs, or state universities. There is a separate counseling for the university.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. My plan is to get government job.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats.
