- The infrastructure of the college is good, and some faculty are very supportive and knowledgeable.
Dislikes
- 2nd,3rd and final year students hostel are in west campus which approx 3 to 4 km far away from academic area so either students have to leave the hostel or they have to arrange the bike or bicycle and remaining travels with taxi.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculties are good. Most of the faculties have done Ph.D. There are two mid-sem exams and one end-sem exam in each semester. The time gap between two mid-semester exams is around 3 months. The difficulty level of the exam is easy to moderate.

Harcourt Butler Technical University placement cell organises various industry interaction and counseling sessions that help students in placement. The HBTU Kanpur placement cell ensures the overall development of the students, during the course, by providing paid internships as well. Cognizant, TCS, LTTS, DLF, Coca-Cola, Adani, Emami, Bunge, Atos, TATA Motors, and Optum are some of the HBTU top recruiters.
Placement Experience
From 3rd sem student eligible for campus placements. An active and committed training and placement cell at HBTU Kanpur, it is in charge of supervising all placement-related activities on campus. The university assists students in finding the greatest employment opportunities. It offers training programmes and internships to its students. The majority of offers thus far have gone to CSE students. Reputable Indian and international organisations visit the university to seek talent.
Fees and Financial Aid
Placements provided in our college vary in every branch. The highest salary package offered to CSE and IT students is 20 LPA to 25 LPA. Our college provides huge placements in lower branches like paint food, etc. Students get placed off-campus with a salary package of 60 LPA. The alumni network of our college is strong and makes the placement scenario good. You can apply for the up scholarship if your family income is less than 2 lakh.
Campus Life
ADHYAAY is the annual fest of HBTU. Wi-Fi has been installed in labs, classrooms, or hostels. The environment of the library makes the students focused on their studies, and it is also equipped with air conditioning. Around 1 lakh books are available in the HBTU Tagore library.And there are several sports like cricket, kabaddi, football, badminton, volleyball, basketball, etc., as well as indoor games. HBTU has a number of clubs including both official and unofficial ones. Official clubs are photography club, hobby club, lit club etc.
Admission
The admission in HBTU is considered on the basis of Jee's Main rank. The application form can be found on the hbtu counseling website at the time of counseling in online mode. Application fees is around 2500rs. You can avail benefits of reservation to opt better branch.
