Course Curriculum Overview
Our course is semester-wise. So, every semester we studied 5 or 6 subjects. The exam was conducted in two parts within the semester. The first exam was conducted in the mid-semester which was 30 marks and the second exam was conducted in the end semester which was 50 marks. All the faculty members are Ph.D. and very talented. Also, they are helpful for solving the problem or doubt at any time. Sometimes organise a guest lecture or seminars for interested students and teachers.
Internships Opportunities
The placements for M.Sc. students start in the 9th semester and are carried throughout the 5th year. Most students in the M.Sc. departments choose to go for research and higher studies after completion of their courses. The rest are placed in companies like TCS, Tata Elxsi, Byjus, and Allen with an average CTC of 6.32 lpa. The highest placement ever in the department has been from Samsung at 20 lpa in 2021. Out of the 44 students who sat for placements in the year 2023, around 20 were placed. Most of the students who get placed do extra work on the side besides college work. I plan on doing the same and applying for companies off campus as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is around 1.5 to 2 lacs per year for engineering students and 0.45 lacs per year for M.Sc. students. So, the fee structure is costlier than other state-level colleges and government colleges. There is no scholarships or loan facility provided by our college. However, some government scholarships are provided for topper students who got higher percentages in the 12th board exam. Some other organization scholarship is given to those students whose income are lower.
Campus Life
In our college, sports days are celebrated within the college grounds like basketball, tennis, volley ball, cricket, kho-kho, etc. Every year MMNCT cricket tournament is held by our college. Some players come from different colleges to participate. There is a freshers-party Kashish which is conducted 2-3 months after a new batch arrives. The annual college fest is named Sparsh which takes place in March-April. The annual tech-fest is called Mindbend and is conducted at different times each year. Interested students from any year can take part in these fests. There are an adequate number of books available in the college library for any subject and it also has a stationary shop attached for all academic needs. The library is air-conditioned and also has ample numbers of desks and chairs for studying. The college takes part in the annual inter-NIT sports competitions in a wide range of sports.
Admission
After 12th Science with Group-A clearing the entrance exam "JEE Main". I applied in the admission portal of www.csab.org website. Then I saw the schedule of the admission process. First, I logged into my account using JEE Main's ID and Password. I selected my choice of many colleges. After 5 rounds I got my choice of field in my college. After that, I confirmed my admission and paid the fees for the academic term. All the admission process was centralized and admission was based on the AIR (All India Rank).
