- most of the people belongs to jaat community making college less diverse.
- College is attendance centric , they even call our parents and have parents teacher meeting like school if we have low attendance (<75%)
- Infrastructure is very poor, they really need to improve in this area .
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum has improved after NEP , from 2021 syllabus have changes , it is bit hectic but good syllabus. It is 1:15 approx. Some of the professors are really good and some are teaching for the sake of teaching , college is academic and attendance centric. Term exams are held time to time , difficulty of exam is easy to medium , refer akash book for previous year questions and you are good to go.
Placement Experience
From 4th (1st sem) year companies start comming. TCS, infosys , wipro , accenture , ZS ,mostly service based mass recruiters. Highest package is round 12-14 lpa on-campus if we are talking about and 3 lpa average. around 60-70 percent. I will be going for my masters abroad.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure for MSIT Delhi is pretty good , I pay around 135k per year which is better that most of the private colleges near Delhi NCR , they usually charge around more than 200k a year , scholarship oppurtunities and financial assistance is poor , there are no scholarship provided by college itself , but from the Delhi Govt. (but some of my friends told me they are not getting any benefits from this as well ). There are NO on-campus jobs right now in college premises.
Campus Life
Yearly tech fest and cultural fests are conducted , which are poorer than any school fest as we dont get any funds from college neither from outside , college life is average , dont expect much being very honest. Library is good , you will get any book from syllabus possible ,no need to worry college is very academic oriented. No sports facilities as such , there is a small ground is front of college building where students play and have fun with friends. clubs are many, IEEE , MSC , E-cell etc etc. No special ammenities in classroom , just benches , NOT Air conditioned classroom.
Admission
We get admissions on the basis of JEE main Rank, cutoff for my particular course for around 70k during 2021 for the IT branch. Application for affiliated colleges for IPU (MSIT comes under IPU) will be available on GGSIPU website after JEE Main Results declaration. Reservation are only for all Delhi candidates and SC/ST categories of outside delhi candidates. No reservation if you are OBC outside Delhi.
