- Too many night clubs and pubs ( in views of a focused-student).
- An unpredictable weather (even Google can't predict it) such as sudden-rains and humid sunny days.
- The institution is so commercial because it charges extra fee for all the extra-curricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to join in CS branch, but as per my rank, I got only a CSE with a minor in Financial Technology. The faculty-to-student ratio is very high (it's almost 1 teacher for 20 students). The qualifications of the faculty here are mostly Ph.D.'s in their respective interests. The teaching method at MIT is above average. There are term exams called Semesters. There are 2 semesters in each year of B.Tech. It's very difficult to pass as it has a relative grading method with a high intake of students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike from 1st year to 2nd year of B.Tech is almost 175000. And no fee hike for the next two years. There is only one opportunity for scholarship. i.e., through the Merit-Based Aid. Students (ranking between 101-5000) should score 8+ CGPA to get 20% aid from that particular year. There is no financial assistance and there are no jobs on campus.
Campus Life
The annual fest in MIT is called REVELS which is conducted on month of March of every year. The tech fest called TECH-TATVA is conducted in October of every year. Books in MIT-Central Library are quite popular and written by popular authors. There are many famous journals included in the library from all over the world. The classrooms are air-conditioned and designed with Screen projectors. Sports such as athletics, badminton, tennis, and swimming are most popular here. While extracurricular activities such as dance, music, etc. are well-supported through MIT-Clubs. Clubs like DANCEBLITZ, IEEE-SBM, and PDA have been run by students for many years.
Admission
Eligibility of the Course is only through the entrance exam called Manipal Entrance Test (MET). Student will be getting a branch or course based on the rank they got. For circuital branches, the rank must be below 7000 and especially for CSE and its minors; the rank must be below 5000. Application form, application fees and its dates can be obtained at https://manipal.edu . There are no Reservation Benefits available in this institution. My improvement is to stabilize the admission process by making it faster.
