Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose electronics and communication as it has more importance in the IT field and in the core field too. All the faculties are highly qualified. Some have them have done their engineering from IIT and NIT as well. Many of them have Ph.D. degrees. For Term exams, you have to study one week before the exam and you will get a nice CGPA. Above 7 is ok to sit in placements.

Internships Opportunities

3

Trilogy Innovation comes into our college and offers an Rs75000 stipend per month. Only 2-3 students were selected. Another company that visited is Flipkart which offered a 100,000 stipend per month.5 students got short-listed in the first round.2 students in the second round. But in an interview, no one got selected. I am in 5th sem. Who knows what will happen in the 6th sem.

Placement Experience

4

From 6th semester students start applying for internships. Celogi, Goldman Sachs, Optum, etc. companies visit in our college. The highest package is 82 LPA. The average package is 17 LPA for the ECE branch. About 80% of students get placed. Rest go for higher studies or startups.

Fees and Financial Aid

Overall the cost to study is around Rs 580000(if you avail of hostel facilities). As I am from the general category I do not get any type of scholarship benefits. So I cannot give you that answer. The stipend is usually given to 4th-year students of 30k to 60k depending upon your experience or role in the company. I am currently in 3rd year.

Campus Life

4

Saptrang and Zeal are the major fest held in NIT Delhi. Besides this many other celebrations also took place on auspicious occasions. We have a huge digitalized library(WIFI is available and AC is also available there]. All classrooms have a virtual board and AC as well. The seats are very comfortable.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

You will get 2-3 almirahs,4-5 chairs,3-5 tables, and 5 beds(sometimes bunk beds too] in each room.5 students will stay per room. The quality of food is below average. For the registration process in a hostel, you will get a payment link in your respective college Gmail ID.

Admission

You first have to clear the Joint Entrance Examination Main and secure at least 98 percentile. After clearing wait for the results to come out. Give your preferences in the list of what college and course you want to enroll in. If you secure that much percentile you will get selected for that college.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
