Each department provides opportunities for internship at the end of 6th semester in Government or privet organizations. Students can also find organizations for internship by themselves. I have completed my internship in Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. Which is provided by Department of civil Engineering.

Most of the students are preparing for competitive exams in Gate, UPSC, SSC, etc Many Students secured a good rank in the 3rd or final year are not committed towards the placements. Placements statistics are higher than other state Universities with higher average package. At the time of recession the deserving students get placed easily. From the end of 6th semester students starts involving in internship programs and many will get on and off campus placement by the end of 7th semester. Minimum cgpa of 6.0 to 6.5 is requirement of most of the companies. Almost 80% of the eligible students who fulfill the criteria get placed . But this may vary if recession hits the economy.

Fees of the course is Slightly higher than the IET Lucknow, MMMUT Gkp, but much lower than the IITs, NITs and IIITs . Students get scholarship and financial assistance thorough different government schemes. Campus placement are also good , most of the students get placed even in the recession period if compared to the other state colleges. Average package in placement is generally higher than the college fee in 4 years

The university is in the northern part of the city, near the Kanpur Zoo The lush green east campus has 2 canteen and 2 Cafe. There are Clubs for dance, music, drama, sports and many extracurricular activities. Feats such as Technica, Aagaz, Andaz, Alfaz including star night are frequently held on the college premises.
