A review of fresher at MIT Manipal

The faculty is always helpful. The college keeps you on your toes by giving you assignments and keeping the exam tough. There is a lot of competition for good CGPA. Although all the faculties don't teach well they are always ready to solve the doubts of the students.

Internships haven't started for me yet. Still, as per my information, MIT Manipal does have companies like Microsoft Amazon Intel, etc. providing internships. Also, it is compulsory to have at least one internship before your fourth year.

Highest packages 54.75 lakh per annum average packages 12.6 lakh per annum. The number of recruiters is around 275 which includes Amazon, Goldman sac, Accenture, Dell, Microsoft, Intel, etc. The percentage of students getting placed is 91%.

Fees are 400000 per annum which is usual for a private college like Manipal. Hostel fees range from 1 lakh to 2 lakh and mess costs around 50000. Not an affordable cost but should be expected by a private college.

It has a Techfest called Tech Tattva held in the month of October and a cultural fest called Rebels held in the month of March. Books are available in the library and the campus is very clean. Drinking water facility is available everywhere.

Sad bathrooms are usually untidy but if you are taking an attached bathroom then there will be no such problem. In some hostels, cleaners come when you call them. Whereas in some they come every alternate day. Food in the messes and food courts are much better compared to other colleges.

Admission started early in the year 2023. Students were called for orientation during the end of July and classes started in the month of August. Pass in class 12th or equivalent with physics, mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects along with chemistry/biotechnology/biology/any technical vocational subject as optional from a recognized board with a minimum 50% aggregate marks taken together in physics mathematics, and any one of the optional subjects.
