Likes

I like the two auditorium present in the East campus with fully air condition.
I like the gymnasium present in the west campus of the college.

Dislikes

I dislike the badminton court of the college which it very old.
I dislike the teaching way of many professors which only come in class for lecture only with zero interaction with the students.
I dislike the internship opportunity in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have an interest in the electronics branch due to good placement in HBTU with an average of 9.5lakhs per annum. The faculty is very educated in my college. Most of the professors are postgraduate and PhD holders from IITs and NITs. The exams are done on the dates given in the academic calendar of the college.

Class Size: 74Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee taken here is very high which is not affordable for me so I have taken an education loan from the bank to pursue my Btech career at HBTU Kanpur. The Siemens and many other scholarships are available in the college.

Campus Life

The annual fest here is adhyaay in which many popular singers come and perform on stage. The DJ nights are organized here with lots of fun and enjoyment. Here Octave is a singing society and Gruv is a dance society, aeroclub and Autorob are technical societies present here.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel here is on two floors with 8 washrooms, 4 on each floor. The curfew timing for boys is 9 pm at night and for girls, it is 7:30. The 4 time meal is provided in the hostel with a variety of dishes every day. Homely feelings and environment are there in the college. The hostel mess fee is 36000. 100 rupees per day. A hygienic meal is provided in my hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 61000 per year

Admission

First, all of you need to crack the Jee Mains exam to get admission to hbtu Kanpur and you have to score a decent rank in Jee Main to get an electronics and communication engineering branch in HBTU. Approximately you should have 94-95 percentile in jee main. The admission is not done through jossa counselling and the application form is given on the official website.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats.
