Likes

I like the beaches , waterfalls, forests very much.
I love clubs and student-projects provided by MIT Student-Council.
I like the college life since MIT has diverse students from various parts of India.

Dislikes

Studying in MIT is very costly and quality of education is not that good compared to BITS and IITs
The weather is very bad with heavy and unpredictable rainfall.
Night clubs are high in number so that a student can be distracted.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the CSE core branch since I like to participate in many fields rather than choosing a specialized branch. The faculty-student ratio is average but not very appreciable. All the faculty members are qualified in their Ph.D. and also some in M.Tech. I like their teaching method. Term exams are conducted twice every year and those are easy to pass except biology.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 1825000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

A fee hike can be observed while promoting from 1st to 2nd year as an additional 175000 fee is added. The total cost to study including the hostel fee is around 25 lakhs. We can get scholarships based on CGPA (8.0+) for up to 20% aid (for students below 5k rank) and 100% aid (for students below 100 rank). There are no part-time jobs available inside the campus.

Campus Life

The annual fest here is called REVELS which is conducted in the month of March of every year. The tech fest here called TECH-TATVA is conducted on the month of October of every year. I like the journals in the MIT-Central Library and the books are pretty good too. Classrooms are well-sanitized, and air-conditioned with digital screens. Athletics and dance are pretty popular at MIT. Clubs are IECSE, ISTE, and PDA, some of which are being run by students.

Admission

The admission process was very good. I got a very good rank in the MET (Manipal Entrance Exam). I got a CSE core branch with no financial aid. I found the application form, fee, and dates on the official website https://manipal.edu. There are no reservation benefits for me. The admission process should be improved as it has partiality between MET, ICAS, and DASA applicants.

Placement stats are pretty good, offers above 50LPA have also been granted to students, but they are not as common. With a good cgpa, 5+ LPA can be ensured. Students from 6th sem become eligible for placements, companies such as TI, Apple, Daimler Trucks etc have come for placements

MIT Manipal owns engineering!

Admission here are very consistent and just two methods. No other method works here as MIT Manipal has very clear plans. Either you can qualify through Manipal Entrance Test or JEE scores but 90 percentile is required. MIT Manipal is awesome!

For B.Tech courses, Manipal Entrance Test is conducted by the college and students on the score and ranking are alloted branch. CSE and AI are taken by top rankers and then mid rankers can take our branch. However, first choice is always with the students. MIT Manipal is super tech savvy!

In MAHE or MIT Manipal the university only accepts their own entrance scored as JEE qualifications and all have very limited seats.
