BITS GOA an awesome college.

The recent strictness in rules ia pretty gruesome. Students can bw fined 15k or given semester backs just for drinking. Quality faculty desperately needs to be hired to match the quality of Students who get selected.

BITSAT Score 279. I had Bits goa or a middle ranked NIT. The choice was pretty obvious.

The course curriculum is pretty outdated for computer science engineering. The electives for computer science were few like AI, big data, HCI but the faculty lacked experience as well as skill. But overall the existing course structure uses the best book from top authors.

The Practice School program at BITS is the best thing about it. One is allotted a training station based on his CGPA. There are close to 200 good companies each year. Stipend varies from company to company. Minimum 5000 pm at govt institutions to maximum 50000 at eBay.

Placement scenario is pretty good at BITS. Almost 100% ppl with CGPA more than 6 get placed. Top companies for CS were EPIC systems 62 lpa, ,Amazon 15.5 lpa, Walmart 18 lpa, Informatica 10lpa, Oracle 10 lpa, Myntra 14lpa, Flipkart 14lpa, Intuit 15.5 lpa, TinyOwl 12lpa, Housing 15lpa,Hike etc.

Culture festival is the famous waves. Most happening time at bits goa. Priyanka chopra, KK, Strings, Vishal and Shekhar are some prominent performers who have visited. Comedians like Rivaldo and AIB have performed too. Quark is the tech fest which has grown tremendously over the years. Spree is the sports event with more than 60 colleges participating each year in all sports one can name.

Merit cum need scholarships are available. Parents income had to be less than a Certain amount which was about 5 lpa. Merit scholarships for top 10 Gpa holders.

Gender ratio is 5 :1.Cricket field, football, Tennis, TT badminton are available Studenta from all states and economic status are present. Robotic workshops are held regularly. TEDx and ink talks are also held. Many competitiona are held during waves and quark. BITS MODEL UNITED NATION is quite popular.

Hostels are one best with individual rooms. 4:1 bathroom ratio. Good LAN and DC. Hostel is compulsory so no question of PG. Fees was 5 k per semester when I was there. But over all hostel experience is better than Iexpects. Mess food was good only on soc
