Remarks

I got admission through wbjee and you can get admission through iemjee. You can find the application form on the IEM page. One improvement that should be introduced is a better way to avail the application form on the official website.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am a computer science enthusiast. So I chose a b.tech degree in computer science and engineering. The faculty ratio is 1: 2. Most of the teachers have completed their PhD. We have two mid-need semester exams.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year the fees hike by 5000/- Total cost for 1 year is 100000/-. You get a scholarship based on your 10+2 result with various criteria. Those whose income is less than 5,00,000 get some extra financial aid.

Campus Life

We have an annual tech fest in the month of March called Techtopia. There are a lot of books and journals available in the library. The classes have good quality fans and benches with all having projectors. We have an annual sports fest in the month of February. We have basketball, volleyball, cricket and football ground. We have a public speaking club called The Speech Society, We have a coding club, a gaming club, and a cultural club.

Hostel Facilities

Room facilities are very good. We have 3 students per room. The registration process of the hostel is very easy and it is first come first serve basis and the college is on campus. The food quality is okay. It provides both veg and nonveg food.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.

The placement of my college are good in electrical and mining branch the placement are very good while in other branch the placement is decent in this college many companies are visited like vedanta etc. many good companies are come here the 60 percent students are placed every year but in mining and ee the placement rate is almost 100 percent my plans after getting degree is to go in very good company with very good placement

Each year in seventh semester placement companies visit college for taking students. In mechanical engineering Vedanta and Secure meter come for taking students. The average placement of this college is seven to eight lakhs and highest placement is twenty two lakhs. The best part is the placement in core companies. The average placement CGPA REQUIRED FOR PLACEMENT IS SEVEN CGPA.

I have not applied to any other colleges. UEM is the first college where i had applied for the first and last time. I chose this college as it is the closest from my home where i did not have to live in hostel. Secondly it has decent placements.
