As I am interested in the software field, I have opted for CSE. The faculty-student ratio will be 1:15. The majority of faculty members hold PhD degrees, while all have at least an MTech qualification. The quality of teaching will be good, as compared to many other colleges. Exams are held every one and a half months. To pass the exam, one requires preparation as copying is not possible. You must maintain a minimum CGPA of 8.0 and no active backlogs to be eligible for placement offers (as preferred by most of companies).

Internship opportunities are provided along with placements. The stipend and duration of the internship period depend on the company that is offering. You need to search for companies providing online internships, as you have to complete an internship of a minimum of 2 months mandatorily in the 2nd and 3rd year of BTech and the internship project is evaluated for academics.

After completion of 3rd year, you will be eligible to attend campus placements. It is recommended to maintain a minimum cgpa of 8.00 and no active backlogs to attend the placements. The companies that visit include TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, etc. The highest package is provided by Amazon i.e. 30.3L (as in year 2022). However, this year(2023), due to recision, there has been a significant decline in campus placements. Companies like Epam, and Quinbay provide a double-digit package. The average package offered is 5.15 lpa.

The study is affordable and if you get a seat through eapcet counseling, the government provides a 100% scholarship. You only need to pay the hostel and bus fee if you are using them. Scholarships for poor students are also provided. The college bears 50% of the training fee for placement training programs. The cost of the food in the canteen is affordable, however, there aren't many varieties available.

Fest and annual day will be conducted between Jan-Feb. Programming and technology-related contests are conducted actively by student chapters like ACM and The Tech Club. Central Library has a wide range of volumes of issue books, journals/magazines, and project reports. The digital library has online connectivity to e-journals like IEEE, ASME, JGATE, etc. Each classroom is equipped with a projector and screen. The college has demarked 13.5 acres of land for outdoor games namely: Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Throwball, Tennikot, and multi-purpose ground for Softball, Football, and Hockey. The college is provided with Indoor games like Table Tennis, Carroms, and Chess. Annual Intramural Tournaments in various games and sports are conducted for students as well as for the staff. Different student clubs for literature, fine arts, dance, music, etc. are available.

Admission to this college is through EAPCET(formerly known as APEAMCET) counseling. In order to secure a seat in CSE, you need to obtain a rank below 10000. For the general category, the cutoff is set to be 5000. The counseling dates will be as announced by the eapcet authorities. If none of your parents is a government employee, then you will be offered free education throughout the BTech, by the government, otherwise you will have to pay an amount of 69,400 per year. The fee for the management quota varies each year.
