Course Curriculum Overview
I choose CIVIL ENGINEERING over many technology branches available here with better placement because obviously it's a core branch and also you will get enough time to prepare for any exam you want. Faculties are PhDs here and yaa they also send their assistants, Ph.D. scholars to take lectures, but if we talk about faculty's qualifications they are highly qualified. There are 2 midsems + 1 end semester examination. 2 mid-sem of 15 marks each and 1 end-sem of 50 marks, you have to gain at least 40 marks overall and 15 separately in the end-semester. Difficulty level is moderate. Sometimes it's moderate to high.
Placement Experience
Final year student appears in placement. The percentage of getting placed varies from branch to branch. The order of good placement is CSE/IT, Chemical, PAINT, MECHANICAL, and Biochemical.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is quite high as it's a government University. The annual fee is 135000 + 61000 (hostel+mess) fee. Candidates can apply for UP government scholarships, and there are FW seats, as well as an EWS scholarship (a candidate may get one if he/she is very lucky).
Campus Life
Annual fest: Adhyay, Tech fest: Technica, Sports fest: Agaz. There are several clubs, sub-councils, and committees for extracurricular activities run by students as different post-holders under the conveyor (faculty). NSS, Yoga sub-council, Hobby sub-council, Dramatic club, Gruv, Octave Cultural sub-council, Sports sub-council, Literary sub-council, Poetry Club, Calldius, Technical sub-council, Aeroclub, Autorob, Print and social media sub-council, and more clubs and societies are there.
Hostel Facilities
The first and second years will get triple sharing. This and final year will get a single room. The hostels are very old and the boys' hostel is approx. 4-5km away from lecture halls. Meals and menus are controlled by students under the hostel warden. The registration process is quite easy you just have to fill out the form on the website and deposit the fee. Hostels are affordable. PG and rooms are available very near the East campus.
Admission
Eligibility: Admission is based on JEE MAINS rank and HBTU conducts its own counseling. Application form: Once you get your JEE rank card you can fill out the counseling on hbtu.admissions.nic.in. Reservation is available for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and also for girls candidates(20%) and the home state quota is also there but it benefits the other state candidates (as the ALL INDIA candidates are less in number). The improvement I want in the admission process: if it conducts the counseling via JOSAA or AKTU counseling more people will get to know about this college.
