Course Curriculum Overview
I choosed this course because i want to be software developer.Generally in a semester (5:80) student ratio is present.All professors are generally PhD holder and well qualified.Semester system is implemented and two midsems and one endsem is to be passed for passing a whole semester. Exams are general standard level not so difficult for a average hardworking student.
Internships Opportunities
In compiter science students go for summer internships in google -1.36 stipend, flipkart-50000 stipent, Generally companies accept students with heavy projects in web development ,android development and DSA experience.
Placement Experience
After fifth sem the students become eligible for campus placements.The highest package offered by microsoft is 44Lpa last year. Generally 90% of students get placed. After getting the degree i want to be working as a software developer for 3-4years and then i would be heading towards starting a cynersecurity company.
Fees and Financial Aid
B.Tech ?1.35 Lakhs (1st Yr Fees) There can be a hike of Rs.10000 over following years. 36,000.00 per annum. Mess Advance Charges of Rs. 18,000.00 per semester will be deposited in respective hostel account at the start of each (odd and even) semester.
Campus Life
The tech fest is conducted by AutoRob club generally in month of January. The annual fest is conducted in the month of April.Various celebrities and comedians are invited to it which makes is enthusiastic and energitic. Library has got a large collection of books from covering every engineering feild to cuurent affairs and spiritual section. There are journals and up to date magazines available. Generally classrooms are fully air conditioned and with a capacity of almost 100 capacities. Generally football , volleyball,and cricket are most famous but other sports like badminton ,long jump, tennis are played by students in respective feilds. Callidus (literary subcouncil),PSMSC(PRINT AND SOCIAL.MEDIA COUNCIL),and OCTAVE(musical subcouncil ) and other subcouncils and event management subcouncil is present.
Hostel Facilities
Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) in Kanpur has separate hostels for boys and girls. The university has two campuses, the east campus and the west campus. The east campus has six hostels, including four girls hostels and two boys hostels. The west campus has four boys hostels. The registration process is separate and other generally done on HBTU.ERP Portal. Meal is not very tasty but healthy ,Mess secratory is generally selected among students.There is a shortage of electricity in summer time .
Admission
The admissions shall be based on the merit of the candidates in JEE (Main). Admission to B Tech program through lateral entry for Diploma holder candidates is allowed directly in Second year (third semester). These admissions shall be based on the merit of CUET exam.Application form can be found in HBTU OFFICIAL SITE.Payment of the admission fee along with the document verification must be done to confirm their seat in the HBTU Kanpur.
