Course Curriculum Overview
Computer Science Engineering is most demanded course here. The course curriculum is updated every year and matches with the new age technology. Most of the labs here are practical skill oriented. Exams are taken monthly and are not very difficult. Faculty members are very supportive and dedicated to their subjects. Most of them are M tech and phD holders.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the internships are for CSE and ECE students for their industry oriented learning. Very few internships have stipends. Their are some internships offered from colleges also which includes web development and design.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester onwards students are eligible for placements. Companies like TCS Wipro, Palo-Alto and Benz visit campus for placements. Highest package was 58 LPA by Palo Alto to 5 students from CSE and ISE branch. Average was around 10-12LPA. Most of the students from CSE,ISE,ECE and EEE get placed through campus placements. Remaining students go for higher studies and others for startups.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees through COMEDK is 2.5 lakhs and KCET is 1.2 lakh per year . Hostel fees is around 30-33k per year. Financial assistance is provided to the economicically weaker students and meritorious students. Most of the scholarships are central based and state funded. Internships are provided to eligible students also with stipend.
Campus Life
'Aura' is the cultural fest and 'Avalanche' is the tech fest celebrated every year. Aura happens during the month of March or April. All non-academic and academic books are available in the library. Classrooms are well equipped with good benches ,charging ports and projectors. Extracurricular activities and sports facilities are available in our campus the whole year. There are many student clubs which are both technical and non technical.
Hostel Facilities
I pay 33000 per year for hostel, mess food at hostel is average(pure veg only available) there are many mess around the college at walking distances. Many PGs are also available nearby college. The registration process is not difficult, it can be done in 20-25 mins. Old rooms at the hostel are good, but now there are new rooms built this year, which are attached with bathroom and toilet.
Admission
I took admission through COMEDK entrance examination. The rank cutt-off here is 22000 for CSE. The counselling was done online by COMEDK. Admission process at the college was easy and not hectic. Most of the admission process will be digitally done.
