Course Curriculum Overview
I Chose Mechanical Engineering due to my passion for physics. Faculty-student ratio is decent. Highly qualified instructors, many from elite institutes like IITs, and IISERs. Two mid-term exams per semester, well-taught material. Passing exams manageable, even with minimal prep time.
Internships Opportunities
HBTU provides diverse internship opportunities with reputed companies. Students secure internships with Exxon Mobil (Mechanical Engineer role), Maruti Suzuki (Automotive Design), and Havells (Electrical Engineer). Projects include designing energy-efficient systems, optimizing manufacturing processes, and developing innovative electrical solutions. Interns gain hands-on experience, contributing to real-world projects and enhancing their practical skills.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible from the 6th semester to sit in the campus placements. There were a total of the number of 40 placements made so far this year for the current final year batch the offers were made from Companies like Havells, Maruti Suzuki, Exon Mobil, etc. While the details of the highest package is unclear as the placement phase is still going on there is roughly a 40 placements offered out of the strength of 80 peoples. And almost 85% percentage students were placed last year. I will go for placements after the completion of degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees at HBTU are reasonable, with various scholarships, including EWS and merit-based ones. Fee waiver seats and UP scholarship scheme add to financial support. Internship opportunities with MNCs like Exxon Mobil, Maruti Suzuki, and Havells enhance campus job prospects. The college's commitment to providing diverse financial assistance options is commendable.
Campus Life
Annual fest: Adhyaya (April) & Tech fest: Technika (April). Library well-stocked with recommended course books. Classrooms equipped with necessary amenities. Diverse sports opportunities: Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Chess, Basketball, Badminton, Kabaddi, Athletics. Annual sports fest Aagaz celebrated. Active student-run clubs like Chess Club, Callidus, Octave, Groove, and DC contribute to campus vibrancy.
Admission
HBTU, aspiring students must clear JEE Mains with a specified percentile cutoff. Reservations include OBC, SC, ST, and defense services, plus a female quota. Application process online; consider enhancing the management of offline procedures for improvement.
