Food technology is a unique course and has a very good placement with an average package of 8 lakh. 50 percent of faculty are very good PhD holders from IIT and 30 percent are normal. Very difficult to pass the exam at HBTU Kanpur.

Third, you can get an internship if your cgpa is above 7 50 percent of students get an internship with a good stipend. Students from my branch get internships in companies like Bacardi, and United Brewers with a good stipend.

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester student is eligible for placements. In hbtu 10 to 12 lakh package is good. Upper branches have very good placement like 99 percent of students are placed. My plans after getting the degree are to start a company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is not good because the college is government and every year they increase by 5 percent in course fees. Hostel fees are good. You get up government scholarship if your family income is less than 2 lpa.

Campus Life

Campus life is not very good campus is very old and there are not many facilities. The annual fest is Adhyayan Cultural Technika Technical and Aagaz Sports Fest there is above than 2lakh books in the library there are 9 subconicals in the college.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel's facility is normal there is no air conditioner in the room there is no proper sports arrangement in the hostel only 2 table tennis are available in the common room food is quite good food is healthy but not tasty.

Hostel Fee: INR 61000 per year

Admission is based on jee main scorecard. The application form is provided on the website of Harcourt Butler Technical University. Want to see the admission forms with josaa counselling they are late for admission.

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats.
