Likes
- The things I liked in HBTU was that there is a lot of free time for the students to start any side hustle and can also prepare for Competitive exams or start a Startup.
- The Hostel facility is quite impressive because it's clean and tidy inside with almost 24×7 electricity in Winters and Rainy season.
- The Teachers are quite supportive not all but most of them will treat you as their own kid and provide you best possible information.
Dislikes
- There is less facilities for sports and there is no proper ground.
- Most of the faculties are temporary or contractual and the newly passed PhD holders are given chance to teach the Second or Third Year btech students without any prior experience.
- The Warden is mostly unavailable in boys hostel and there is also no camera installed in the hostel and the road to the Hostel in West Campus is also very poor.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course curriculum is quite good and it's quite easy for the students and it's very good for providing some extra time for students preparing for Competitive exams as it is quite relaxed curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that offer internships and placements are like Hero and DRDO and the stipend offered is around 10-15k it's quite impressive for the new students to get industrial experience. There are many companies that visit like Hero, TCS, Havells, Cognizant, Landis Gym, Jio, Byjus, etc.
Placement Experience
When a student enters his/her Fourth Year of the Btech Program in HBTU which is the seventh Semester he/she becomes eligible for placement. The companies that visit HBTU are Samsung, Havells, Jio, Hero, Nvidia, Infosys, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike policy is not here in HBTU because every year in the HBTU Btech course the Academic fees are reduced by around 10k in my first year the academic fees were 135k and now it is 125k so the fees decreased.
Campus Life
The Annual Fest in HBTU is Arambh and Technika these are very good and interesting fests where celebs from Bollywood like Famous singer Darshan Ravel and Stand up comedians like Samey Raina come here as a guest.
Hostel Facilities
The Hostel facility is very good and the hostel where I am living right now is Vishwakarma Hostel which is in HBTU West Campus. The Hostel premises is quite clean and my room is equipped with 3 fans and 3 Tealights and The floor is well furnished with White Tiles.
Admission
I have heard a lot about HBTU Kanpur which is a very prestigious university for Engineering degrees and when I reached Class 11 and 12 I started preparing for JEE examination for IIT NIT and other Government Colleges. Knowing the fact that HBTU is also one of the great institutes in my home state of Uttar Pradesh I also had an interest in that as well. For Information HBTU Kanpur takes admission in the Btech program through JEE Mains examination and its Application Forms are made available at HBTU's official website on the Internet. HBTU informs the students about the last date of the application form to all students beforehand. HBTU Kanpur is one of the most prestigious universities in India it's around 102 years old and very special for Btech. The improvements that should be made are - 1. Availability of More permanent faculties. 2. Better Sporting Facilities and Grounds 3. More Industrial Exposure to students 4. Better Scholarship Opportunities for all.
