Infrastructure of HBTU is very old simple.
It has 2 campus which leads inconvenience to travel from one campus to another.
Since it is old college so it have no modern and well quipped road and canteen.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since HBTU is the oldest college in India with 100 years of excellence in Information Technology is a noncore branch in HBTU we have a girls and boys ratio1:8 We have IIT GRADUATE teachers with a lot of experience and knowledge exams are very timely and copy checking is all is on time without any delay.

Here we are eligible for the 3rd semester for the placement there are hundreds of companies that visited HBTU with more amount of salary. We have the highest placement of 48 lakhs and an average placement of 8 lakhs. We have a placement percentage of 91%.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are a little bit higher since it is a government college and it charges 135000 per annum whereas another government college charges less than HBTU. Here we benefit from UP scholarship with an average of 56000.

Campus Life

In HBTU fests are organized like Arambh, and Aradhana, by the college. All the books available related to any of the branches are easily provided in the library. Classrooms are well maintained and smart board and lighting are well maintained. Sports are also conducted by the College like cricket and many more. Clubs are also made like Autorun, Poetry club, and many more.

Hostel Facilities

HBTU have the best hostel room with 1 bed 1 fan table and chair and 2 shock board for charging and other purpose here we are provided with the best meal in a week we never repeat anything within a week The registration process is very easy for the hostel here all the work is mostly only which makes it very simple.

Hostel Fee: INR 21750 per year

I have taken HBTU based on Jee's main rank in information Technology because HBTU is one of the oldest college in India and provide a good atmosphere of knowledge and the best and strong alumni network you can find the application details on HBTU's official website and all the required details.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. My plan is to get government job.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats.
