Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose B.B.A LL.B . I had gone for the interview of BBA but then I ended up choosing this integrated course of 5 years. When I heard about it I thought it was a good course and I also thought it'd be beneficial in the future to have an integrated degree like this. The teachers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable with multiple degrees and experience background. The team of faculty members ensures quality education for the students at KJC. They keep students engaged and conduct interactive classes. They do teach well and help students too. We have mid-term exams and then sem exams at the end of the semester. Mid-term exams are pretty much easier than the semester exams because mid-term exams are conducted by the college itself but sem exams are conducted by the KSLU university. The passing mark in the sem exam is 32 out of 80.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement. It also depends on your marks and backlogs. Around 40 percent of the recent batch has been placed in banks and legal firms in different legal roles. Firms like Law Veritas and banks such as HDFC Bank are popular recruiters that visit the campus and recruit students. Few are placed as permanent employees and the other few as temporary employees. They are also given a training period before starting it off. I plan to join corporate after I get the degree. The top roles bagged by the students are manager, assistant manager, associate in law firms, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for my course was 60000 for the first two years and 80000 for the next three years. The fees offered in this college were easier than any other college when I took admission. The college also provides various scholarships based on merit, talent as well and financial basis. There are no campus jobs available but then I've seen students working outside the college after their college hours.

Campus Life

4.5

In the law college, there are many events. Almost every week we have a dignitary coming for Nyaya samvada(an interaction session). Then we have law-related fests and programs also. The cultural fest of law college is called kaladarpan which happens once a year. We have a huge and well-maintained law library. There are thousands of books and journals available. Classrooms are quipped with a projector and blackboard. There are 2-3 days of sports activities conducted in our college every year. There are many clubs that students can join like the MUN club, the anchors club, music, etc.

Admission

I didn't have any entrance exam. I had a walk-in interview with the management. The eligibility criteria is a 12th pass. The application form, fees, and dates will be available on the college website, one can apply from there. I didn't take any reservation benefits therefore I'm not sure of it. There is no improvement that I particularly want to see in the admission process.

It is better to start internship in 2nd or 3rd year for proper legal understanding before a student graduates from the college. The college will provide practical knowledge but it does not encounter proper real life situatons.

The worst they are very unfair the faculties leak the question papers for money and take money from students under the table for clearing their backlogs nd for year back. Most faculties are worthless they don't kn how to teach or explain they discriminate on the basis of ethnicity.
