- The college premises does not have an area for sports .

Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course for my passion in trees and biology . There are 7 professors and some qualified guest lecturers. They all are highly qualified. DBT star college scheme is also there in the department. Students capacity for 1st semester is 36 for this department. Teachers are very helpful and audio visual teaching method is there in the class. Teachers use projector and presentation for a topic There are two semesters in every year conducted by University of Calcutta . But teachers take internal test exams before that and the questions are very easy to write .
Fees and Financial Aid
Due to totally government college the fees required is very nominal Per semester wise tutuon fees and other fees are 860 rs approx and Per semester wise examination fee is 700 rs approx . You can get government scholarships but it depends on the family earnings. Otherwise college does not provide any scholarships.
Campus Life
Alaaap is the name of the annual fest of Bethune College and its conducted in the month of November or december . Many inter and intra college competitions are occurred during this time . College has two libraries, one science and one arts . You can access the journals in the science library if you are logged in in the library website . Classrooms are quite big but no ac in all the classrooms . Labs are good but not so spacious. Sports club is there in the college. It has equipment for many sports . But the college does not have that much area for sports . BCSC the club run by students. It is Bethune College Students Commetee . Under BCSC there are many clubs like literature , arts , science and environment, debate, photography clubs . They are socially very much active .
Admission
One must have biology in their 12 th course for taking admission. The application form is found in the college website after the declaration of result of 12 th . Fees required for admission is 1357 rs. There are reservation benifits . Obc, sc , st and Ews catagories get priority in admissions.
