The cse branch has best faculty and is the most sought after branch in almost all colleges of engineering. In the first semester there are 8 courses of which 2 are directly related to computer science. 3 are one credit courses and not very important. Rest are physics and mathematics and electronics/mechanical/electrical engineering introduction. Some faculties are good ,some not very. Many are PhD doctorate holders and new faculties are masters of technology. There are two internals of 25 marks each and lab exam as well as semester end exams. People do fail but it's not as difficult to pass or even score decent marks if some effort is put even just some days before the exams as it is an autonomous college.

Students become eligible for placement from 5th semester. Many companies like Deloitte ,lowes,visa,etc visit . Almost all from cse and ise branch are placed. Highest package is around 40 lakh for cse and average is almost 12-13 lakh. Almost 90-95% of students get placed. I want to find my passion in the tech field and grow in it.

Fees is quite high and the fee hike policy is not discussed . But it's expected to remain the same or even decrease to some extent in the upcoming years. But in the worst case fees will increase by 10% at most. The cost of study is quite high if living expenses and college fees is seen together but because of the placements if effort is put then it can be seen as an effective option if decent marks in mains are not scored. There are some scholarships from the Karnataka government but it's for the students enrolled via kcet. Comedk students don't get any scholarships and have to bear the expenses themselves.

Many books are available as for the north campus students who live in South hostel we have two libraries , one in South and one in north campus. Classroom are fine with blackboard and projectors . Sports trials and competitions are held both by college as well as south boys hostel. Many student groups like IEEE gdsc onyx etc are popular and active in the college. South Hostel is very clean and almost 500 boys are there in it. Girls hostel is 5 minutes away from the boys hostel in a different block. Different food is given everyday but the taste usually is average but bearable for one two years. Hostel costs 90000 for one year along with 10000security charge. If north campus is allotted according to the courses and one loves in the South hostel bus services are provided for 25000 per annum. As north campus is in outskirts of city it's better to take pg almost 4-6 km away or take north hostel.

Admitted through Comed-K exam and counselling. All details at Comed-K.org . General candidates got cse branch till almost 5500 rank rest got other branches like ise and cse aiml. The counselling should happen alongside kcet counselling which didn't happen this year hence caused confusion as well as some seats were left after kcet students withdrew their comedk seat.
