Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to do my Engineering in CS or IT background which is why I chose this course. The faculty here is highly qualified. They are nice and almost all of them hold a PhD degree and teach very nicely. Exams on the other hand were moderate level and it wasn't difficult to score.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like TCS, Wipro, Google, Infosys, and Microsoft visit this college and provide excellent internship and job opportunities. I've spoken to my seniors and they have received nice stipends too. The stipends have different ranges according to the roles offered by the company during the internships.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements from the end of 3rd year itself I suppose. Placements here are very nice. Big companies like Mercedes-Benz, Samsung, Intel, etc, visit here and give outstanding offers. As per my branch, the highest placement is 44 lakhs and the average is 12.85 lakhs as of this year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for students admitted through ComedK is quite high which is 280000 nearly as for ones admitted through KCET it was a bit less around 120000. The college provides some scholarships from time to time under the government's guidelines.
Campus Life
The college holds a lot of tech events but the cultural fest is only one. The campus life here is very average. The college is affiliated to the VTU so it participates in the events held by the VTU. Overall the college mainly focuses on academics.
Admission
I got admissions from the ComedK exam. One's eligible for this exam if he/she has 50% and above in 12th Borad exams. Application forms are out on the official ComedK websites every year. One can also get into this college from the KCET exams. KCET provides a certain reservation for the students of Karnataka. During my admission time, 14000 ComedK were left vacant which is why the cutoffs went very high. The ComedK organization should look into this issue and make sure this doesn't happen again.
