Truth bombs about colleges

I chose computer science because of my passion about coding languages Student to faculty ratio in this college is a lot better as its appoximate 1faculty for every 64 students Though some of the faculty members are excellent in our college but still some are not as good as to be expected , its basically your luck Though the semester end exam just happen twice in a year but there are many in between exams that take place year including internals , quizes and lab practicals

Internships here in the college itself are provided from the end of second semester itself and this is a really nice thing and then there are also mandatory internships for all the students that one need to apply

Placement process here is enabled from the last of fourth semester itself Mercedes benz, amazon and cisco are among the top companies that visit here Percentage of students getting placed here from my department here is quite high as cs department is the most asked for department by the companies

Fees for a non karnataka student here is quite high as its approx 2.80 lakhs per year that will sum upto 16 lakhs for 4 years For a karnataka belonging student, this fees is about less than the half for a non karnataka student ie approximately seventy thousand to 1.3 lakhs hence giving them an excellent return of investement rate

NIE sucks in name of fest and all, all this college focuses upon is just study and study There is barely one single fest called techniecks but that too is a bit low level and is not worth the wait of a whole year Books and library here are quite good , all the books are availanle most of the times and hence its very easy to avail those but they do not provide 24/7 open libraries that is one of the issues here Classroom here are quite okay okay , cant say that they are excellent but they ard just okayish , though they all have poor lighting and traditional calssroom look instead of the modern auditorium round desks

Girls hostel of nie south campus is quite good . All the facilities along are provided here but the only thing here is lack of freedom and too many restrictions regarding the clothing and all Menu here is very bad, they do not provide diverse food option .All they serve here is big big chunks of veggies indulged in thick gravy Even the quality of milk and all is not as good and many of us has faced several severe health issues due to it Hostels here are bit expensive

12th pass with mathematics,physics and chemistry was the only eligibilty of the course I got the application form of comedk exam by suggestion of a friend , though the form was a bit expensive but still it was good Karanataka belong students are the only one that have priviledges of reservation else all other are at the same priority standard Admission process through comedk is a bit of a job as the fee payment portal is a bit difficult to access with and hence many students loose thier college because of it
