Likes

Campus life is very good, you can make friends easily.
Faculty is very good and will cooperate.
Infrastructure is very good and can fully utilise it.

Dislikes

College is not strict about relationships.
Drug culture is very huge and affects students life.
There are more students from Upper class families.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen Mathematics and Computing as i have a passion towards mathematics. Faculties in mathematics department are very good and qualified, some even have 2 phds. Exams are very hard compared to other colleges but have very few examinations.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are decent for what you have paid. Placements are good for the computer related branches but for branches like civil and mechanical it is very less for what they study. Campus placements starts in 7th semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very high compared to other private colleges, but the fee you pay is totally worth what they provide. There are very few scholarships in MIT, and can gather information about scholarships in the website.

Campus Life

The annual fest is called as Revels. College life is best in the country and the campus is very huge. There is a sports comples called Marena which is best in the country. Classrooms have AC and very good.

Hostel Facilities

I live in hostel 17 and compared to other hostels it is very good. Its a 11 storey building which is very huge and spacious. Hostel fee is expensive but worth what we pay. If you wanna opt for a pg, you will get plenty of them in the city.

Hostel Fee: INR 160000 per year

Admission

I had written MET examination and had got a rank of 4900. Cut off for my branch is around 6k. There was a counselling after the exam for the admission. The counselling procedure for MIT Manipal is very easy and getting admission for good branches is very hard compared to core branches.

Placement stats are pretty good, offers above 50LPA have also been granted to students, but they are not as common. With a good cgpa, 5+ LPA can be ensured. Students from 6th sem become eligible for placements, companies such as TI, Apple, Daimler Trucks etc have come for placements

MIT Manipal owns engineering!

Admission here are very consistent and just two methods. No other method works here as MIT Manipal has very clear plans. Either you can qualify through Manipal Entrance Test or JEE scores but 90 percentile is required. MIT Manipal is awesome!

For B.Tech courses, Manipal Entrance Test is conducted by the college and students on the score and ranking are alloted branch. CSE and AI are taken by top rankers and then mid rankers can take our branch. However, first choice is always with the students. MIT Manipal is super tech savvy!

In MAHE or MIT Manipal the university only accepts their own entrance scored as JEE qualifications and all have very limited seats.
