Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is extensive. There is no attendance policy, i.e, it is not compulsory to have 75% attendance and it helps us to explore more options other than our branch. The college also has a very good startup culture and focuses on the allround development of the students. The faculty members are also really nice and are very helpful.
Internships Opportunities
After the compltetion of second year, a student has to do an internship which is provided by the college. The time period of this internship is around 2 months. After the completion of third year a student has an opportunity to do a summer internship in which companies come for the selection of students. In fourth year a student has to do an internship for a complete semester and this internship is also provided by the college.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for placements from seventh semester. In fourth year a student sit for placement for one semester and go for the internship for the other semester. Many companies have visited for the placements. Some of the companies are Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Rubriks etc. Highest domestic package offered to a student was 72 lakhs (Last year's placement) and average package was 25 lakhs. Around 90% of students get placements. My plans after getting the degree is to get a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is a bit high as comparable to other government colleges. The fees of our college is around 6 lakhs per year. If a student's family income is less than 12 lakhs then he/she is eligible for Merit Cum Need scholarship. A student get this scholarship amount according to his/her cgpa. Other than this we have a merit scholarship which is for the top achievers in academics.
Campus Life
The tech fest is ATMOS. It is conducted in the month of November. The sports feet is Arena. It is conducted in January or February. The cultural fest is Pearl. It is conducted in April. In all these fests there are multiple number of events conducted by the clubs our campus. All these fests has a good footfall and also has a good social life.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are nice. There is a table, 1 whiteboard, 1 almirah, 1 bed in the room. In first and second year there is double occupancy and from third year onwards there is single occupancy, i.e, only 1 student in 1 room. There is no registration process for hostels, the hostel number is provided by the administration. The mess food is good. We get 4 meals each day ( breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner).
Admission
It has an entrance exam and the exam name is BITSAT. There is no reservation in this college. My score was 297 out of 450 in my year and I got Electronics and Communication engineering. The cutoff in my year was around 170.
