Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum at Ananda Chandra College aligns well with my interests, focusing on practical applications. Opting for this course was driven by its relevance to my career aspirations in Bachelor's degree in English. The faculty-student ratio is decent, fostering personalized attention. The faculty boasts impressive qualifications, holding advanced degrees and displaying adept teaching methods. Term exams are timely, offering ample preparation time, and passing isn't overly challenging with consistent effort and study.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for the Bachelor in English course at Ananda Chandra College is affordable, not imposing a huge financial burden. There's a transparent policy concerning fee hikes, ensuring students are informed in advance about any changes. Additionally, I was fortunate to receive the "Swami Vivekananda Merit Scholarship" offered by the West Bengal government, which significantly eased the financial strain. This scholarship, coupled with financial assistance programs at the college, alleviated study costs. The college doesn't provides on-campus job opportunities.

Campus Life

4

Life at Ananda Chandra College is vibrant, offering a plethora of activities and events. The annual fest, "Anandotsav," takes place in February, which contains two days long musical night. The library boasts an array of books and journals, catering well to academic needs. Classrooms are equipped with modern amenities, facilitating a conducive learning environment. Sporting events like cricket and football tournaments are regular occurrences. Moreover, the English department hosts a student-driven reading book club, enhancing literary engagement. Socially, numerous festivities like Holi, freshers' parties, and musical nights add vibrancy. The college magazine, "Ananda Dhara," amplifies student voices and experiences. The campus encourages extracurricular activities, fostering a well-rounded experience for students. Additionally, there are various social groups, clubs, and a student-run website, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity among students.

Admission

To take admission in this college, you have to pass your class 12 with a good mark. A student can apply to this college through online where he or she have to pay a minimum amount of application fee ( in my time, it was around 200 rupees ). This college also offer the reservation of seats for SC, ST students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because it has lots of scope in future to get a job and also it is a good subject or my National language. In this college lots of faculty has been given to the students. Well, I am also a new student but I can say that all teaching and non teaching staff and also the office staff are very humble to the students and they help us a lot. I am in B.A. 1st year student and lots of faculty has been given by our beloved teachers and office staff. The teachers are very humble by nature and the way they taught us is really mind blowing I am very grateful that I am a student of those teachers. In every 6 months, you have to give one semester examination and as I already told you that I am a new student and my exam is in February month so I do not have experience with the paper and how difficult it to pass but I can say you read properly you can pass the exam in Good marks.
