Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose CSE because I've always loved computer science and had a good interest for it. Faculty here is great and in my batch there are about 600-650 students. The staffs here are really good at teaching and they know what they are doing. However, studies here are pretty difficult. In the first semester you really need to put more effort on math and Introduction to Programming as they are the hardest compared to other all. But with hard work and dedication anything is possible.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I believe internships are available from the end of sixth semester and to be eligible for it, you must have at least 126 credits. People get internships from top companies like Adobe, Amazon, IBM, Myntra and so on.

Placement Experience

5

Campus placements are eligible from the end of sixth semester. This year more than 140 companies visited our college and about 96% of the students got placed. Highest package in 2023 was 53 LPA. This is one of the main reasons why students choose this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for international students are usually 12 lakhs per year. For JEE/Indian students it's usually 4-4.5 lakhs per year without any scholarship. For international students, you need to get above 8.5 CGPA to maintain the scholarship that you got.

Campus Life

5

The IIITD campus is amazing. It's a small 25 acre campus with everything available inside. Swimming pool, gym, table tennis, pool, badminton court, basketball court, tennis court, football field, and so on. There are 2 messes and a canteen. I really like the food here, and many people say the same, so I don't think that would be an issue. There are numerous sport activities or competitions that happen in our college and there are also a lot of clubs run by students. Our college is also known for its cultural fest called Odyssey where popular artists and singers come every year.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are 3 boys hostel and one girls hostel. The new boys hostel is comparatively better than the old boys hostel in my opinion. The rooms in the hostels are really good, with AC and the bathrooms are very clean here. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend renting a PG nearby. First of all it's too expensive and secondly, it won't live up to your expectations.

Admission

I got admitted through international admissions. And I opted for CSE(Computer Science and Engineering) for which I got a scholarship of 50% for the first year. To be eligible for international admission, you need a predicted score above 75-80% in 12th and there will be a short interview to short list people. There might even be a small test. You can apply through the online IIITD web portal, all information will be given there.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
