IGDTUW review (it is not biased)

Cse-ai is the top branch in igdtuw the subjects and the curriculum in this branch were quite different and better from other colleges. We were taught the subjects in our first and 2nd semester only when those subjects are taught in 2nd or 3rd year in different colleges. Faculty to student ratio is decent or similar to other colleges I.e 1 for 60 to 70 students. Teachers are qualified enough to teach but as we all know there are times when the teaching methods doesn't suit everyone. Term exams are taken on time we complete 2 semesters per year, the papers that are made by professors of our college are decent, the difficulty level is easy to moderate.

Internship opportunities for SDE roles are usually given here, and for every semester there is internship opportunity till 3rd semester no paid internship opportunities are available but students get a decent amount of experience and knowledge about various fields. Average stipend among 3rd year students is 80k and the same companies give internship which are here for placement opportunities.

Even the 4th semester students are eligible for certain internship opportunities and 4th year are eligible for sitting in placements and 3rd year for internships. Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Amazon, American express, BNY Mellon, JP morgan and chase are some of the top companies that visited and Microsoft gave the most no. Of offers. Top 10 to 30 percent students got the average of 45 lac offer and the average was 20-21 lac. Highest was 80 lac package by Adobe and international was 1.2 cr by amazon (dublin). My plan is to get placed in a decent company on campus only.

Being in my second year I didn't see any fee hike in my college fees but the hostel fee hike is at another level it is the double of the last year and the facilities are still the same. Paying 1,33,000 for mess and room of 2 seater which is made 3 seater and with basic amenities is not appropriate and should be looked into plus every year the hike is too much. Scholarship opportunities are often seen but it is for the girls who are either single child or have a poor background or are of any other category other than general but for general category girl with a middle class background there is I guess no scholarship. On campus placement and internship opportunities are the main attraction of our college. Almost every deserving student gets placement and therefore the avg package is 21 lac or 20 lac.

Annual fest is taarangana and it is conducted usually in the month of march and april and tech fest is innerve which is conducted in the month of November to December. All the books related to our semester and courses are available and those books which are not available they are uploaded online on digital library. Classrooms are equipped with basic amenities new classrooms are also being built and previous ones are being renovated time to time. Extra curricular activities are being conducted time to time and competitions are also held. Sports meet is also conducted with other colleges. There are many clubs which are run by the students in our college in every field volleyball, basketball, cricket, AI club, Zena the fashion society or finivesta the finance and economics club etc.

Rooms are not spacious as the 2 seater are made 3 seater rooms and 4 seater rooms and the rooms that are made 4 seater are equipped with bunk beds but also they are ac rooms but 3 seater rooms are non ac rooms. But every rooms has almirah for each person and table and chair but they are very small. Food quality in mess is quite good and better than rest of the colleges both non veg and veg foods are given from time to time. But as recently the tenure of previous mess is over, the new mess which came is not upto the mark and the food is also just OK. Registration process of hostel is not advanced and is very slow plus the hostel fees is very very very much high compared to the quality of life here.

Eligibility - jee main / dasa. Everything is available on igdtuw website (application form, application fees and application dates). About reservation benefits it is usually mentioned in the Jac brochure. I don't think so any improvement is required in admission procedure but the management should be a little more efficient.
