Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum here is less burdening. Every first year student has to study same courses irrespective of the branch. I chose mechanical and automation engineering due to my interest in machines. Faculty student ratio is different for different branches. On an average it is 1 is to 70 for lecture and 2 is to 35 for labs. Most of the faculty here are PHD holders. Teaching methods include both treditional which involves teaching using black-board and modern teaching methods which include using presentations. A semester is roughly of 5 months including mid term and end term exams. Passing the exams depends upon the students preparation. But if the student follows the lectures delivered by the teachers properly and follow the notes and other study material given, then the exams are not dificult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internships are offered from second second year onwards. In 2022-2023 252 paid summer internship offers were made at the start of placement season.Highest stipend offered in 2021-22 was 160000 rupees by uber and average stipend offered was 63956 PM.

Placement Experience

5

From third semester students apply for internships and from fifth semester students become eligible for placements. Companies like Google, Uber, JP mMorgan, Microsoft, Flipkart, Tata Motors, ITC, ETC visit campus to hire interns and employes. Total full time offers were 458 for session 21-22 including national and international offers. Highest domestic package given was 55LPA by adobe and highest international package offered was 1.2cr per annum. Average CTC is 20.06LPA. I plan to get placed in a company after getting the degree as well as prepare for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for first year is 132500 and the fee is increase by some percentage each year. There are various scholarships provided to the students of the college by delhi government and a schollarship of 100% is also provided to the student having a jee main rank less than 5000 by the college. Scholarship is also provided on the basis of merit that is to the topper of first year for different categories. Being the first year student, I haven't got any job opportunity yet however from third semester many companies like Google, Uber, ETC visit the campus for internship.

Campus Life

3.5

There are 3 fests organised in the campus which includes Taarangana (the annual fest), innerve (technical fest) and ignite (the sports fest). Taarangana is organised in feb-march, innerve is organised in October-November and ignite is conducted in January-febuary. Both types of books the digital and paper back edition are available in the digital library and library respectively. Most of the classes have projecters in them. The campus is around of 60 acres. different societies are run by students which includes technical societies like GDSC, celestial biscuit, AI club, ETC and cultural societies like hypnotics, soch, taranum, ETC.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are 2 hostels Krishna and Kaveri. Both having same facilities. There are 3 seaters and 4 seaters room. 4 seater rooms have AC in them. Automatic washing machines, inductions, freezers, microwaves are available for the students on each floor. Menu here is decided by hostel committee. The quality of food is good mostly. Registration process is done in offline mode and the rooms are allotted to the students of outside delhi first. According to me the hostel fee is a bit high which is around 133000 per year including hostel and mess fee.

Admission

The admission process was done through jac delhi counseling, on the basis of Jee Mains rank. Anyone who is eligible for Jee Mains and has registered for Jac Delhi counselling is eligible for admission to IGDTUW. Application form for Jee Mains is available on the official website of NTA and the registration for the Jee Mains 2024 session 1 has already begun. Application form for Jac Delhi counselling is filled out on the official website of JAC Delhi. The application form fee was 1500 for the previous year and this form will be released tentatively at the end of May. 85% of the seats are reserved for Delhi residents and another 15% is for outside Delhi candidates. Reservation for different categories is also available. There are 6 rounds of JAC Delhi counselling along with an additional spot round if required. The cut-off for general candidates of delhi region is up to 55000 for CSE and up to 21000 for outside Delhi candidates.

Other Applied Colleges

Harcourt Butler Technological University - [HBTU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I didn't opt for this college because of less opportunities as compared to my current college.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.
