Electronics and communication is a bit tougher course in nit Jamshedpur,you will get less time to enjoy compared to other branch students but you will learn the art of managing things and the placement of ece is satisfactory so this overshadows it's cons . Faculty of this course are much qualified.Most of them have done PhD from renowned iits.Class strength is around 115 to118 with a girls boys ratio of 1:3. Every semester you have to give two set of exams end sem and mid sem .Mid sem happens after 2 months of the class and endsem after 1 month of midsem. You are can pass these exams by studying seriously 1 week before exam

Companies like atlassian ,Adobe ,tekion ,tata steel gives internship opportunities for 3 or 6 months and the roles they get are software Engineer ,developer ,data analyst etc. Students interested in core do core projects to get into core jobs and those interested in tech jobs does tech related projects.

Campus placement is quite impressive.From 3rd semester onwards students can apply for internship.Students sits for placement in 6-7 th semester generally.Atlassian ,Adobe ,oracle , tekion and several other companies visited our college .The highest package of ece is 84 lpa and average package is 20 lpa and median package is around 18 lpa.Last year 100 percent students got placed in electronics branch.For other branches also the placement is quite good the avg package for other branches is 8 lakhs. Most of the students opt for placement , some goes for higher studies , some prepare for gate and some do mba after btech.

The tution fees is 210000, and mess + hostel fees is 34000 for general students.However ,there is fee remission in our college.For sc and st students there is full fee remission and for obc ,gen and gen ews students the fee remission shall be 2/3rd for those whose family income is less than 5 lakh and there is full fee remission for those whose family income is below 1 lakhs.There are several scholarships also which come throughout the year for 1 St year students

There are three major fest that has been organised in our college, cultural fest known as culfest that happens in the month of February,this fest deals with all cultural events that happens in nit Jamshedpur.Techfest known as ojass one of the biggest fest of eastern India happens in April and urja - the sports fest of nit Jamshedpur which happens in October or November .Inspite of these there are several other events keep on taking place in our college such as branch fest ,CDS etc throughout the year. There are numerous clubs and societies in our college.Every branch has its own society in which several events and competition happens. Cultural clubs includes beat breakers,Aahwan,rooh,phocus,faces ,Invicta for dancing,acting, singing,photoshoot, drawing,fashion show respectively. There are several sports clubs almost all kind of sports are there in nit jsr like badminton,tennis, basketball etc.There are clubs for quizzing , literature known as quizzers and LDS

For boys there are double sharing room in first year and 2 nd year onwards they have single room.While girls have triple sharing room .But the room size is good .It doesn't look congested and rooms are clean and maintained. Mess- The food quality is good .You will get north as well as South food throughout the week.In Evening snacks they give maggi/chowmin/ veg rolls/ papdi chat .On Sunday we don't get snacks .When semester ends we get special dinner which is very very tasty However some times you will get some small insects in your food

The admission process was smooth,I have given jee mains entrance exam, I belongs to general female home state category and one need to score atleast or above 97 percentile to get admitted to nit Jamshedpur ece branch I applied for josaa counseling on their official website there is no fees for josaa application one need to do the choice filling and then there are six rounds in which you will get a particular college and branch based on your rank and choice filling.For confirming the seat you have to pay partial admission fees which is 40,000 .After josaa there is another round of counselling which is csab counselling to participate in csab one need to pay another 4 thousand,there is fresh registration and choice filling for csab
