What Students Say

Likes

The best thing about my college is that everyday in the college is a new learning day.
Here we get to explore new areas of knowledge.
Activities like lecture demonstration workshops, panel discussions, lectures by guest speakers, competitions, fests,etc.

Dislikes

A small charge for dropping classes and buying or renting textbooks.
Not what I expected and paying hundreds for parking.
Some lecturers are extremely boring and standard testing all the damn time.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because, a civil engineer is excellent with critical thinking and diagnostic abilities and henceforth, they are welcome with open hearts to any industry. The student to faculty ratio is around 25:1. Qualification of the faculty is ME/M.Tech/Ph.D I am satisfied with the infrastructure and opportunities provided here. Teachers here are knowledgeable and qualified. Since the majority of the students come from Tamil Medium, sometimes teachers teach in tamil. The teaching quality of the teachers is good.Semester exams are not that difficult; they will teach us everything during internals and our paa percentage will be 80%.

Internships Opportunities

The companies offered internships with stipend are Facebook, Ernst young, Deloitte, Cisco, Blackberry, Apple, American express, Amazon, Accenture, CarMax, etc.\

Placement Experience

The students become eligible for campus placements from the end of the sixth semester and continue till the end of the eighth semester. The companies visited are Infosys, TCS, Samsung, Netcore Cloud Private Limited, Merkle, Rasi Constructions, Avasoft, DELOITTE, 80% of the students were placed in the placements. The highest salary package offered in our course is Rs. 70,000 per month, the lowest is Rs. 20,000 per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for councelling quota are 40k per year which is as per the fees policy of Anna University. Our college will never charge extra money from its students. Institution scholarships are a FULL COLLEGE FEE WAIVER, a 50% COLLEGE FEE WAIVER & 10%COLLEGE FEE WAIVER for Meritorious students

Admission

Eligibility of the course is the candidate must have passed HSC(10+2) or its equivalent with 45% of marks from any recognised board/council. The application form can be obtained from the college administrative office by paying Rs.500/-in person or by bank demand draft drawn in favour of kgisl institute of technology,

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Due my 12th board marks I couldn't get the top colleges and when I did they asked the donation such as more than 5 lakhs that I couldn't afford and if I did I need to make it a good use of the college not wasting my time and I did government quota and I was 3rd level and that too BCM so I'll get less seat and the top colleges got filled and I have to choose this college...Read More
