Remarks

College overall is good. But the location of the college is not good as there is no bus of the state that goes till there. You always have to break the journey and that is quite hectic as the college is 13kms away from the main hostel and 10-15 walk from. The other hostel which is not at all a good place.

Entrance Preview

I gave lsat examination to get admitted to the college but later on came to know then if a student gets more than 60-65 there is direct admission to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure is good. But it is not useful when you compare it to the real world situation. You are not taught how to present yourself in the moot courts or filing of any document. You have to learn it yourself. No support from the college as such though situations are improving

Internships Opportunities

The college doesn't provide its students with any kind of help regarding this matter. It is the student who has to find out the sources. The college will only print a recommendation letter for the student. That's it. Depends on the student if he's doing an internship at a place which provides a stipend. Any private firm gives stipend but NGOs will obviously not provide with any stipend.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements and job opportunities were not good before but they are improving rapidly with different cells being established who help the students getting the exposure to the real-life job opportunities required. The average offer starts around 2lac per annum and range to max 5-6lac per annum which is average to good in present day scenario.

College Events

3.5

There are many events that are arranged in the kle college of law. They are- model united nations, intra college moot competition, inter-college moot competitions, annual legal studies discussions, workshops on various topics related to real life legal profession, cultural events include ganapati festival, ethnic day, holi, onam, pongal etc depending on the students what they want to celebrate. Sporting events are also organized like cricket, football, table-tennis, badminton, chess, carrom etc. There are gyms in both the college and hostel for which you have to pay 500(clg gym) and 700(hostel gym) per month though they decrease if you pay in bulk like for 3 months or 6 months

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of this college is quite nice. It is very feasible. It varies from. The course of course. Ba llb costs 60000(for localities) and 100000(for outside people who come from outside Karnataka) Bba llb costs 80k and 120k for the same(localities and non localities)

Fees and Financial Aid

Nothing as such in regard to this topic. I never heard of any loan or scholarship facility provided by the college but the mother university does provide scholarship ie. KSLU to the people who have financial problems and who score good marks in two semesters

Campus Life

4

Gender ratios are nice in the law college. Roughly around 14:17(girls and guys) Student diversity is great. People from different parts of the country have been taught here. tolerance here has been a problem as there have been discriminations against north Indians and Tamils as their terms are not good.

Hostel Facilities

3

Guys hostel is pretty chilled out than most of the places. It costs 54000 for the first year and 50000 for the rest of the terms they want to stay. It is on yearly basis. They have double and triple sharing. Double sharing costs 84k and 80k subsequently.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is pretty well. The seniors of this college are great. They have always been very helpful and generous. No one will have any complaint regarding ragging matters as the college authorities are very strict about this.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is pretty chilled out. There are two semesters per year. Each semester has 6months in which classes continue for 3months,1month of preparatory leave,15-20 days of exams and again 1 month after exam holidays. But they don't provide any extra leave for internships. Overall exam structure is pretty good and easy for students to carry out anything they want in these 2 holidays.

Admission

You just have to go to the college physically with a demand draft or you may even opt for online admission.i took admission by physically going there with guardian. They juat took the DD and hostel fees was given in hostel so it was overall an easy process

Faculty

3

The faculty is of mixed and match nature. Some are very good in teaching while some cannot get the interest and the concentration of a student towards their students. Keeping everything in mind the faculty is somewhere between nice and average. Not great.

It is better to start internship in 2nd or 3rd year for proper legal understanding before a student graduates from the college. The college will provide practical knowledge but it does not encounter proper real life situatons.

The worst they are very unfair the faculties leak the question papers for money and take money from students under the table for clearing their backlogs nd for year back. Most faculties are worthless they don't kn how to teach or explain they discriminate on the basis of ethnicity.
