Nit jamshedpur college review

This course was best according to my rank with the perspective of placements, facilities and distance of the college. Faculty students ratio is relatively good as compared to other nearby nits. In each class there are about 120 students. Faculties are all phd holder but most of them follow conventional methods of teaching and emphasis more on marks than learning. Students are supposed to learn most of the things on their own. However some professors are actually passionate for teaching and they are doing their job nicely. Term exams are prescheduled and conducted on time. It's not difficult to pass the exam. Studying a night before is also sufficient to just pass the exams. However securing good grades is a bit challenging.

Most internships opportunities are offered in third year. Most companies visit and recruit the students for internship in the summerbreak. Most of the offered internships are well paid and offered by top companies like atlassian.

This college ensures hundred percent placements of the students with top multinational companies like atlassians and adobe recruiting students every year for the non-core jobs. Being located in the industrial city of Jamshedpur, core placements of college is far better than many top colleges. Average package of electronics and communication branch is about 27 lakhs. Only this year six students got placed in atlassians for an annual package of 83 lpa.

Fee structure is simple and clear like any other nit. It takes approximately 6 to 7 lakhs including hostel fees and without considering fee remission and scholarships. Fee remission is a good option for those with low family income. Two third of tution fee is relieved for those having family income in the range of one to five lakhs and those with family income below one lakhs get full remission on tution fees. Many scholarships are offered to the students in the college like E-kalyan etc. NIT jamshedpur is known for it's placement. It offers pretty well amount of campus jobs and almost all students get placed with a decent package.

A lots of fests are organised in NIT jamshedpur. It's main cultural fest is CULFEST which is organised in february and technical fest Ojass which is conducted in April. Urja is the major sports event conducted by the college. Apart from that many branch and club related events are organized from time to time. There is a central library where we can access books related to academics as well as literature. Major technical clubs are Innoreva, which is robotics club, Team Revanta for manufacturing solar cars, Team Daksh, coding clubs, etc. Major cultural clubs are Team Rooh for singing, beatbreakers for dancers, Faces for artworks and a lot more.

In first year we get a double bed room and from second year we get single room. Hostels provide all the basic facilities like water, sanitaion, and wifi facilities. Mess food is made considering health and taste of the students and menu is designed as per the students. Food quality is satisfactory. Registration process for hostel is done during the physical reporting and hostel fees are calclated and charged along with the tution fees.

To join the course, we first have to clear joint entrance exam JEE mains with above 98 percentile and then go through the JOSAA counselling process. Application form for the entrance can be easily accessed from the official site of national testing agency (NTA). Application fees, application dates are easily available on the sites of NTA. Reservation benefits are there in JOSAA counselling as per the seats reserved in the respective college for each category. Admission process is pretty well and conducted on national level.
