NIT JSR: It takes time to love it but you will surely

I had interest in the offered subjects and this was the best option available at my jee rank Faculty: student ratio is almost satisfactory however can be improved in coming times Faculties are highly qualified but teaching methods are not very good for all of them some are excellent but some are poor There are two exams each semester: the mid-sem and the end-sem both held on scheduled dates The papers are of intermediate level however occasionally some are designed to be difficult but one can pass by studying

Acko, Deloitte, Amazon, Adobe, Birla, Bajaj are some of the companies that offer internships during the summer internship period and the winter internship period No idea about the projects and the job roles offered as I am a first year student

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements Tata motors,TCS, Infosys,ICICI are some of the big companies that visit us every year Offers are sufficient as we have atleast 95% students placed in every batch The highest package for this year was 83 lakhs grabbed by 6 students and the average package was 8.6 lakhs Every year close to 98% are placed on campus I plan to get a good offer and get placed in a core sector company

Fees hike is very less as it is a government funded institute however some hike was seen a few years ago. The cost to study is affordable for all as there is rule for remission of fee if parents income is less than 5 lakhs Many scholarships are available but there are some criterias that I did not fulfill so I don't have a scholarship For Financial assistance there is fee remission available

Culfest is the annual cultural fest held in February and Urja is the annual sports fest held in November. Ojass is our tech fest that takes place in June All books are available in library and most of the journals needed by us are also available Classroom are air conditioned,have smart boards, green board, much equipped podium for professors, clean benches and table fans All type of sports are played and have seperate teams for each who hold regular practice sessions weekly or daily We have clubs for all kind of extra curricular activities like dancing, singing,acting,debating, quizzing etc. etc. NSS is in our campus and there are many clubs related to either cultural activities or technology that are run by students

One fan, two beds, one table, one chair, two almirahs, charging socket, lan port Each room occupies two people, although the room is less spacious but manageable Menu is very good however the meal quality is average Registration is done on the day of admission, it is a simple process only some documents are verified and signatures are taken Hostels are affordable here and cost only 6000 a month I am in hostel but for PG it is 500 m away from the campus and at a peaceful place with some shops for essential items

Have the desirable rank in jee mains exam (changes every year but should be almost 27k) Application is done through JOSAA after clearing jee mains exam, fees is approx 40000 which is adjusted in college fees during admission process and the dates are announced every year by JOSAA No reservations availed however if you have proper documentation proofs then you can get admission at lower ranks and also get fee remission after proper verification Ease of making payment is something that can be improved
