A pretty decent college to persue engineering

The college is good in academics but the facilities given by the college can be improved.

I appeared for comedk examination as I was not a resident of karnataka state.Those who are not studied from karnataka state for at least 7 years then the way of admission is comedk or management quota. I scored 90 marks in Comedk and i got admission in the extension round of counselling. I opted this college because this college ranks fifth in Bangalore and the placement of the college is also pretty much good and placement for cs and is excellent

The course curriculum is vast as it focused on all round development of the student. The first year curriculum is vast as it focused on all the subjects of engineering and it also focusing on giving the technical knowledge of the devices, machines and software programs which are used by today's mordern day engineers.the second year the course become tough for the students as the specialized subject appears for the first time but we get a lots of help from the faculties of their respective subjects by the repeated conduction of explanatory sessions and class tests.

No, the college don't provide internship. But there are internship drives and seminars which are conducted by the third parties which provide internship to the students who are good at their feild

The placement is good and much better than most of the college around the city. Being an affiliated college it holds a value as companies are more interested in the University affiliated colleges. The placement is excellent in cs, is, ec and they have pretty decent placement is of electrical branch . Those who are opting for mechanical and civil should not opt for the college as the placement for these branches is not good. The max salary package goes to 17L p.a and the average package got to 4.5L p.a. the placement is done in both 3rd and 4th year so the students and appear for the interview from the third year itself

Many events are held in the college. Firstly kalanjali is the techno culture fest which is held in the odd semester in the month of October. Students from all over the Bangalore come here to participate in this festival. In this festival there are lots of cultural programs which are held and even the faculties also tak part in the festival. This festival is held by the college and there are also small fests which are held time to time from the department of any particular branch

Fee Structure of the college depends upon the mode of admission. The students who took admission from comedk counselling have to pay 1.9L per annum. And later exam fees of 1.2k every semester. The total estimate of the college fees is of 7.8L for four years. The management qouta students pays the same fees as the comedk student does except for one thing that the management qouta students have to pay the capitation fees which is decided from the college. In case of admission from kcet the fees ranges from 70k pa to 17k which depends upon the scholarships provided by the karnataka government.

There is no such availability of scholarships but the reserved catagories have some reservation for them. Even for the economical issue tge student can pay in installments. Loan facilities is not available from college but they can apply loan from the bank.

The college have the strength of 60% north indian mainly from bihar and uttar pradesh. The gender ratio is 60:40.rest of thr 40% belongs to south india mainly nearby cities of karnataka. And some from andhra Pradesh also.there is a communication gap between the north and the south as there is a language problem between the two. There is no student politics exists in our college. The college life is pretty simple as the college is located in the outskirts of the city and the college is not equipped with the hi tech amenities like malls and food chain restaurants. But the college though have a gym, indoor stadium and a big sports ground which is having basketball and tennis courts too. Every evening there is a inferno workshop where students can join to make ideas for the fuel efficient cars for the shell eco marathon in Singapore. There are many other workshops like the drama club, dance club, debating club, robotics club.

The hostel is good and cheap compared to the prices in Bangalore city. The hostel is facilitates with all the amenities like 24/7 hot water, wifi, 24hr power backup, laundry, everyday cleaning services. The rooms are airy and spacious and are available in two sharing and three sharing. There are two hostels one with common bathroom and and another with attached bathroom. The fees is inclusive of the mess fees. The fees is 72k for attached bathroom rooms and 60k for the common bathroom. The mess food is very bad as only south india dishes are made so it becomes very difficult for the north indian group to adjust with the food. The hostel lacks in the amenities like market and restaurants which makes it difficulty for the hostellers.

The senior students are very good in the college as they are very helpful in any situation we face in the college and give us full support in anything we need help with. The senior students also gives us encouragement for joining various workshops and clubs and also to join the various sports team

The semester starts with the internals of the subjective and practical subject. Internals are held every month of 40 marks which are reduced to 30 marks and 10 marks is given of the assignments which are given before internals. There are three internals in total in which average is taken. Then by the end of semester there are external examination which are held on the dates given by the university. All the externals exams are of 100 marks which are reduced to 60 marks and marks out of 40 are added from the marks obtained in the internals

I got admission by the extension round of counselling. The admission letter was on my comedk website account. When I entered the college i have to just submit the comedk allotment letter to the manager and pay the fees and then our documents like high school and intermediate school marksheet and id proof etc are gets submitted by the college for University verification. And then our personal details are entered in the system and the we are alloted a section by the HOD of the department.

The facalty in the college is good and always active to answer any queries related to the course. The facalty here is educated and they have a good grasp in their subject and the are also have technical expertise in the subject as they can answer questions which are not from the book but a practical question. When the faculty teaches in the class he induces interest even in the students who are not interested. All the faculty of the concerned subjects focuses not only on the good students but also on the students who are struggling with the subject.
