Can drivers do not come inside of campus because of pass at main gate
The metro facility is not available till the railway station

I chose this course because I like computer as well engineering, I am interested in learning coding, A.I.The faculties are more than enough for all students. As I am studying in an government college so all teacher are specialist and pass a definite criteria

Internships Opportunities

A lot of big tech companies like Google, Amazon, tcs, etc. provide internship opportunities at IITK. Other than that a lot of startups also provide internship opportunities at the college , and startup culture is vastly encouraged throughout the campus

Placement Experience

The placement is made in the end of the fourth year or 8 th sem. For btech students, for mtech students the placement is made in fourth semester. Apart from it there are internship opportunities provided in the 6th and 7th semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college is a bit higher, but as it is a government college financially backward people get proper opportunities of scholarship. We get best job offers from campus.It is a lot helpful for people who are financial backward

Campus Life

The annual cultural fest is named antaragani which is held in October and the tech fest is named techriti held in March, the sports fest is Udghosh held in September, Apart than it inter hall competitions are also held. We have a large library which has all the necessary book and journals

Hostel Facilities

We get 24 hours electricity and water facility . The rooms are large enough and airy. You get a balcony in every wing which is consisting of about 24-30 students. The meal is provided in the hostel itself which is quite good.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

Admission is made on the basis of all India rank of jee advanced. Which is made online. I got my seat at a bit higher rank than the general all India rank due to reservation. For Computer science and engineering in IITK, you should get 140 all India rank in obc Category

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. My plan is to get government job.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
